Hello and welcome.
I'd like to welcome you here to this guided meditation.
My name is Tracy McCree,
And thank you for joining me.
And today we'll be talking about love,
Specifically self-love and it being a healing tonic to the soul.
And I'll start by sharing a quote.
It's by Mark Twain.
It says,
A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval.
And this meditation was inspired by a really beautiful conversation that I had with a dear friend,
And they helped me to see by simply being,
By showing me their example.
I'll say being a mirror to me so that I could see my own reflection and something that I was struggling with.
So I'll invite you to settle in.
We'll get started.
And I invite you to just gently settle in.
Allow your body to settle.
Let your eyes gently close or soften your gaze.
And take a slow,
Deep breath in.
And exhale completely.
Maybe even with a sigh.
And again,
Breathing in and letting go.
Arriving here.
And I invite you to bring to mind a place in your life that feels difficult.
Maybe a place of resistance,
Of contraction.
Perhaps somewhere,
A voice within that feels like,
I don't want to be here.
This feels uncomfortable.
And just let that be here,
Without pushing it away.
And gently become curious.
What if this moment is not of a state?
But a doorway,
A trailhead,
Leading you inward.
Now notice what arises within you as you hold this difficult situation or discomfort.
A feeling.
A voice.
A reaction.
Perhaps there is a part of you that's frustrated,
Angry,
Maybe resistant.
And maybe it says,
This sucks,
This isn't fair,
People don't care.
Maybe something different.
Gently meet this part.
This one that's been protecting you.
And maybe it feels like an inner teenager,
Around that age.
Not judging,
Not trying to fix,
Just listening.
You might softly ask,
What are you feeling?
You might even feel it rise within you,
Maybe a felt sense.
And then you could ask,
What would you like me to know?
Allow it to see you.
Allow it to feel you,
Now in 2026.
And you see this part.
And let it speak.
And gently ask,
What is underneath?
Maybe even to show you what it's been protecting.
Let yourself go deeper.
Beneath the anger.
Beneath the frustration.
Is there something more tender?
More vulnerable?
And if it feels comfortable,
You can gently put your hand on your heart.
And perhaps it's a younger part of you.
One who feels more vulnerable.
Unseen.
Let this part of you come into your awareness,
In whatever way it appears.
And now gently move toward this part.
You don't need to fix anything.
You don't need to change anything.
Just be with them.
And perhaps you sit beside them.
Or gently hold them.
Maybe put your hands on their face,
If that feels right.
And from your heart,
Let these words arise.
I see you.
I hear you.
I'm here now.
And I care about you.
Let the words land on your heart.
And if it feels true,
You might say,
I'm so sorry,
My sweetheart.
I didn't see this before.
But I see you now.
I hear you now.
I'm right here,
My sweetheart.
And stay here.
Connecting in whatever way feels right.
And now simply bring this love.
Let this love flow.
Not efforting.
Not forcing.
Just a gentle connection.
Gentle,
Steady presence.
As warmth.
Love as listening.
Love as a quiet holding.
And just let it flow naturally.
Let it reach this part of you.
Let it flow.
You don't need to do anything more.
Just being here is enough.
Love is the tonic.
I invite you to gently return.
To the situation you began with.
And just notice.
What if this difficulty is a mirror?
Where you needed your own love?
What if it is a portal?
Guiding you back to yourself.
You don't have to change anything right now.
Just recognizing.
That you can meet yourself with love.
And now I invite you to take another step.
Slow deep breath in.
And exhale gently.
And start feeling your body.
Your sit bones.
Coming back into the awareness of the space around you.
And as you return.
Carry this knowing.
That even in difficult places.
There is a path inward.
And love is always here.
Love is the tonic.
And I thank you for taking this time with me.
Journeying on this cherished journey.
Back home to yourself.
And I'll finish with this quote.
You yourself as much as anybody in the entire universe.
Deserve your love and affection.
And that's the Buddha.
May you carry a snapshot of this with you.
May you come back to this moment.
The snapshot of this or this meditation.
Anytime you need this reminder.
That love is the tonic.
And you can always come back home to yourself.
Blessings to you on your journey.
And namaste.
