This meditation is a quick recalibration before entering a space,
After an interaction,
Or when you feel overwhelmed.
Hello and welcome.
My name is Tina Stinson and I want to thank you for joining me.
Let's begin by taking a deep breath in through the nose,
Filling the belly,
Expanding the chest,
And then hold at the top for a second.
And then exhale slowly through the mouth.
Again,
Breathing in,
And then exhale.
One last time,
Breathing in,
And out.
Now bring your awareness to your chest and your stomach and ask,
What am I holding right now in my body?
Don't analyze,
Just notice.
Whatever the first thing that comes up is,
Is usually just right.
Taking a deep breath in through the nose,
And then exhale through the mouth.
Let your shoulders drop and relax.
Now visualize a filter around your whole body,
About an inch or two from your body's surface,
Not blocking,
Just filtering out the things that drain your energy,
And letting in the things that nurture and energize you.
Take a deep breath in again,
And then exhale,
Knowing that this filter is in its place.
Now I want you to think about what you're about to walk into,
Whether it's a situation or just the start of your new day.
Feel it briefly.
Now feel yourself in that situation,
Unchanged,
Protected by the filter you applied.
Feel the calm in your body,
And feel how clear your mind is.
Take one deep breath in through the nose,
And a long breath out.
And affirm with me,
I get to decide what stays with me.
Before we go,
I just want you to tune in to your body one last time.
And what are you feeling in your body now?
Take one last deep breath in through the nose,
And exhale through the mouth.
And when you're ready,
Begin to open your eyes,
And move into the rest of your day knowing that you're supported.
