I'm going to lead you in a meditation.
We're going to check in and meet our thinking part.
So as we begin,
Find a comfortable position,
Sitting,
Lying down,
Whatever feels right for your body right now.
Let your eyes close.
If that feels okay,
Or soften your gaze,
Maybe glance down toward the ground.
Begin to notice your breath,
Not changing it,
Not making it deeper or slower,
Just noticing the rise and fall,
The rhythm.
It's already there.
Let yourself arrive.
However you are right now,
Tired,
Scattered,
Calm,
Restless.
You're welcome here.
Just as you are now,
Gently bring your attention inside to your mind itself.
Notice how you're thinking and your thoughts are moving right now.
Are there images,
Pictures or scenes playing out?
Are there words,
A voice narrating,
Explaining,
Planning,
Or maybe they're questions for me or worries or a running to do list.
Perhaps you're thinking feels quiet right now,
Or maybe it's busy jumping from one thing to another.
Whatever you notice,
There's no right or wrong here.
Just notice the texture of your thinking in this moment.
Some people think in color,
Some in concepts,
Some in feelings that aren't quite words yet,
But just let yourself observe without needing to change anything.
If you sense a part of you connected to how you think,
Maybe the part that organizes or analyzes or rehearses conversations.
See if you can gently turn toward it,
Not to fix it or send it away,
Just to be with it.
You might ask softly,
What are you trying to protect me from?
Or what are you worried would happen if you weren't doing this?
Just listen without forcing an answer.
Sometimes parts respond right away.
Sometimes they need time.
Sometimes they show you something without words,
If nothing comes,
That's okay too.
Just stay present with whatever you notice.
Maybe this part is trying to keep you safe or help you succeed or prevent embarrassment or shame.
Or failure.
Just be curious,
Make space.
Now notice what's present as you stay with this part.
Is there any curiosity,
Any warmth,
Even the smallest flicker of openness or that self energy?
You don't need a lot of it.
Even a little is enough.
Let that quality,
That gentleness,
That curiosity be how you relate to this thinking part.
You're not trying to get rid of it.
You're just making space for both of you to be here.
Notice if the part softens even a little or maybe it stays vigilant and that's okay too.
You're not asking for too much of it.
You're not asking it to change.
You're just letting it know,
I see you.
I'm here with you.
Take a moment to thank this part for all the ways it's tried to help you.
For keeping you prepared or sharp or ahead of the problems.
For working so hard often without rest.
You don't need it to leave.
You don't need it to stop what it's doing.
You need it.
It's a part of the team.
You just want it to feel seen,
To know it's not alone.
To know you're not judging it.
Let any appreciation you feel flow toward this part,
Even if it's quiet or small.
And see if there's anything else before we wrap up for now.
And when it feels right,
You can let it go.
And gently return your attention to your breath.
Feel the ground beneath you,
The air around you.
When you're ready,
You can carry this gentleness with you into the next moment,
The next conversation,
The next thought.
You're not alone.
You're beloved and you're enough just as you are.
Take one more breath.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes if they were closed.
And continue about your life.
Thanks so much for joining.
Take care.
