Hello and welcome.
This is Tiffany.
I want to thank you tremendously for taking these few minutes out of your day to be here today.
And so as you begin listening to this recording,
Finding whatever looks like a comfortable seat.
And we'll make our way back to ourselves today through use of all five senses.
So beginning with eyes open and seeing if you can come aware of five colors that you see in the space around you.
In the mind,
Maybe naming,
Not just the colors but the objects from which the colors extend.
Scanning not just your immediate space,
But in some way all around you.
And from here,
If you'd like to close your eyes,
You're welcome to do so.
Opening to the sense of sound,
Naming four things that you can hear in the soundscape.
Maybe becoming particularly curious about sounds that are loud or close by,
As well as those that are distant or more quiet.
Moving from here into the sense of touch.
Noticing three things you can feel three senses of aliveness in the body.
What sensations are moving in the body from inside out.
When you feel ready,
Guiding your attention to the sense of smell,
And perhaps noticing two smells in the environment.
And if it's helpful,
You're welcome to maybe pick up your shirt or an article of clothing,
Bringing some intention to finding smells or even just noticing the absence of smell as something we can become aware of.
And last but not least,
Finding one remnant taste in the mouth.
Releasing your attention from the specificity of the senses.
Maybe just noticing here how you've come to arrive to yourself a little more.
Stepping out of the possessiveness of the mind.
And then to the gentleness of the body.
Perhaps having a sense here of the spaciousness of awareness,
The ability to hold the whole body all at once.
Noticing the sensations that are coming and going.
The rhythm of the body breathing.
Perhaps acknowledging that soft,
Tender space in the center of the chest.
Buddhist philosophy.
The mind rests here in the heart.
Real space from which we can guide ourselves and live most authentically in every moment.
Maybe you can feel or imagine the breath moving in and out of the heart,
The wakefulness of awareness residing here.
And it's from this space that we settle into the gentleness of what is.
This effortless space,
Unchanging,
Always here.
Regardless of what's coming and going externally,
The natural arising and dissipating of thought.
The space of peacefulness,
Of softness is always here.
Without beginning or end in any moment,
All we need do is turn our attention back towards what is.
And acknowledging the natural wakefulness of the sense of being that's here.
The knowing that you are.
I am.
You're welcome to stay resting here for as long as it feels good,
Comfortable.
As long as you're called to stay.
And in your own time,
You're welcome as well to gently open the eyes.
To make your way back into your day,
Knowing that at no point can you become separated from this space.
As soon as you turn your attention toward it,
You'll find it's still here.
From this space of what is.
Namaste,
Dear one.
