Lie comfortably on the floor with your palms facing the ceiling or sit up with your spine in an easy and elongated position.
And relax.
Uncross your legs and arm.
If you are lying down,
Let your legs fall gently to the sides.
Allow your muscles to feel soft.
Give the weight of your body to the floor.
Breathe in and out easily and completely without a pause between inhalation and exhalation and relax.
Relax your forehead.
Relax your eyes.
Your temples.
Your chiefs,
And a job.
Relax your tongue.
Breathing it out easily and completely without a pause between inhalation and exhalation.
And relax.
Relax your neck.
Your throat.
All day your body does what you tell it to?
Now take a moment to give your mind and your body the relaxation they deserve.
Let your thoughts flow by as if you were sitting on the banks of a river.
Watching the river pass by.
With no more thought of controlling your thoughts than you would have of controlling the river.
Simply witness as they float in and out of view.
Relax your shoulders.
Relax your chest.
Your arms,
Forearms,
And hands.
Relax the palms of your hands,
Your fingers,
And fingertips.
Breathe in and out easily and completely without a pause between inhalation and exhalation and relax.
Now go to the area in the center of your chest.
Between the breasts,
The heart chakra.
And imagine that there is a soft vibrating yellow light emanating from that area.
Breathe in and out from this heart,
And as you do,
Allow this light to slowly expand.
Breathe out any tension you may be carrying and breathe in ease and relaxation.
Relax your torso.
Relax your stomach.
Relax your groin area.
Breathe in and out easily and completely and as you allow light and lightness into those areas of your body.
And freed out any tension you may behold on earth.
Relax your thighs.
Relax your knees and calves.
Relax your ankles.
Feel a soft,
Vibrating light and a sense of space in all of the joints in your body.
Breathe in and out,
Breathing in ease and relaxation and out tension and stress.
Relax your feet.
Relax the tops of your feet.
The soles of your feet.
Relax your toes and the tips of your toes.
Feel a cool wave of relaxation pass through you from the top of your head all the way down through your body and out your toes.
Imagine that you are filled with the lovely vibrating pale yellow light that is nourishing each and every cell.
Breathe life and sustaining energy into each cell of your body and breathe out any stress you may be holding.
Let yourself experience those feelings arise in your body.
Your feelings are processed by and held in your body and may make you want to do something.
Simply witness within your mind's eye what action you feel impelled toward.
Breathe in and out.
Sometimes you may feel flooded or overwhelmed with emotion,
So overwhelmed that you want to shut down or numb out your feelings to make them go away.
Going from one extreme to the other,
From overwhelmed to shut down,
From too much to too little.
Today see that there is a middle ground.
Breathe life and energy into that emotional middle ground.
Breathe out tension and stress of both emotional extremes.
I have a feeling,
But I do not become my feeling.
I have a thought,
But I do not become those thoughts.
I breathe in and out easily and completely.
Breathing into a place where I feel in charge of myself.
Into my middle ground.
A place where I had choices.
As thoughts arise in my mind,
I simply witness them as they pass by.
With no thought of entering into them and controlling them,
I let them float by.
I have a thought,
But I am not only that thought.
I have emotions,
But I am not only my emotions.
I witness and release.
I breathe in and out easily and completely without a pause between inhalation and exhalation and relax.
I am able to experience my emotional extremes without becoming them.
I have an emotional middle ground today.
A place where I can feel and observe what I am feeling and make sense of it.
I naturally move toward that comfortable middle ground within me.
In my middle ground,
I can feel more fully and freely because I am not getting stuck in extremes.
I can experience the world around me with a confidence that I can regulate and balance my own inner world.
I have a body,
But I am not the body.
I have feelings,
But I am not my feelings.
I have a mind,
But I am not only my mind.
I am something beyond.
Something that witnesses and sees.
Something that has no beginning.
And no end.
I feel a cool wave of relaxation pass from the top of my head all the way through my body and out my feet.
I relax.
I release.
Slowly.
Whenever you feel ready.
Bring your attention back into the room.
Become aware of your surroundings.
Move your fingers,
Your arms.
Your legs,
Your feet,
And feel a new sense of aliveness within you.
Whenever you wish to.
Open your eyes.
