As you continue to breathe,
Bring your awareness to your body.
Feel the weight of your body against the floor or the chair.
Let any tension melt away,
Bringing your attention to the crown of your head.
Send gratitude to this part of your body.
Thank it for housing your brain,
The center of your thoughts,
Memories,
And dreams.
Move your awareness down to your eyes.
Express gratitude for allowing you to witness life's beauty,
To read,
To recognize loved ones,
To see colors and shapes.
Bring your focus to your mouth and lips.
Thank them for allowing you to taste,
To speak,
To express and communicate.
Continue to move your attention down to your heart.
Feel its rhythmic beat.
Thank it for pumping life throughout your body,
For being the seat of your emotions.
Extend your awareness to your arms and hands.
Appreciate them for their ability to hug,
To write,
To create,
To touch and feel.
Bring your focus to your lungs.
Feel them expand and contract with each breath.
Express gratitude for every breath they've provided,
For sustaining life.
Slowly shift your awareness to your legs and feet.
Thank them for carrying you throughout your life's journey,
For supporting you in every step.
Embrace your whole body with your awareness.
Every cell,
Every organ,
Every itch.
Express deep gratitude for all the experiences,
Both pleasant and challenging,
It has enabled you to have.
Whisper silently in your mind.
As this meditation comes to a close,
Bring your hands to your heart.
Feel the warmth,
Inhaling peace and exhaling any remaining tension.
Slowly open your eyes,
Carrying this renewed sense of gratitude with you.
