These big emotions swirl around inside us upsetting our nervous system and keeping us in a state that is referred to as fight, flight or freeze. Some of us have become so used to being in this state that we don't even know what it feels like to live without this heightened state of anxiety and panic. This meditation comes from a Shamanic practice and guides you through resetting your fight or flight response.

Hello beautiful soul.

We live in a world where we are so often bombarded with external influences to the point that we live in a perpetual state of our nervous system being activated.

This meditation guides you through a shamanic practice that gives you the opportunity to reset this primal,

Ancient fight-flight reflex that exists in your body,

Allowing you to find your center,

To find the calm in the storm,

To remember tranquility and ease.

So close your eyes or find a soft gaze.

Let your attention drift down to your sit bones.

Feel them against the surface that you are sitting on.

Feeling those sit bones root down,

Creating connection with Mother Earth.

The Mother that always supports you and is always here for you.

As you breathe into this moment,

Take your left hand and place it over your heart chakra,

The energy center in the middle of your chest.

And allow the breath to move through your nose and down into your heart.

Feel as your chest rises.

Feel the center of you pressing against the palm of your hand.

Feeling yourself connect to the rhythm of your heart.

The slow and steady beating of life alive inside you.

And as you pause here with this connection to your breath and your heart,

Feel how the Earth is holding you.

Feel how the True Mother is supporting you.

Feel her rhythm,

The slow,

Steady pulse of her love that harmonizes all things,

All beings.

Feel the pulse of the Earth as the river flows.

The pulse of the Earth as the trees sway in the breeze.

The slow,

Steady beat as spring arrives and the buds begin to bloom.

And life is happening all around,

Knowing and connecting to the truth that you also hold this rhythm deep inside you.

The Earth is you and you are of her.

And as you are here in this sacred space with the Earth,

Connecting the rhythm of your heartbeat with the rhythm of her heartbeat,

Know she is holding you,

Supporting you,

And loving you.

Allow your body to relax into her deep,

Loving,

Gentle embrace.

Feel your nervous system filling with this pulse,

With this gentle,

Steady rhythm of life.

And as you can feel your body relaxing and becoming one with the heartbeat of the Earth,

Take your right hand and place it gently over your second chakra,

The energy center just a few fingertips below your belly button,

The center of you that is connected to your creative,

Intuitive intelligence.

Feel the breath coming in through your nose all the way through your body and down into your belly and into your right hand.

And with the palm of your right hand pressed against your belly,

Imagine the spinning of your second chakra slowing down,

Allowing any frantic energy to move from this center down your legs and out your feet.

Feel the anxiousness,

The nervousness,

The fear,

The despair,

All of it just leaving your body and fading into the space around you.

Know you are safe.

Know you are held.

As you float in this in-between space,

Feel again for the heartbeat of Mother Earth.

Feel her coming to meet you.

And as you feel your second chakra slowing down to a more rhythmic,

Calm,

Soothing spiral,

Allow it to come into balance with your heart chakra,

With your nervous system,

With the pulse of Mother Earth.

Let your breathing help you to surrender,

Surrender to this held and sacred space that you hold within your being.

And feeling this connection between your heart and your belly and the earth as your breath flows in and out,

Bringing your nervous system into rhythm,

Into alignment,

Into the beautiful,

Supportive pulse and heartbeat of the earth,

Allowing everything else to fade away,

Letting this steady beat reset your whole system,

Knowing that you are part of something bigger,

Something greater,

Something more magnificent,

And that this flows through you now.

Let yourselves memorize this place of freedom and equanimity,

Knowing that you hold this within you always.

Now gently take away your right hand from your belly and your left hand from your heart.

And allow yourself to feel this space that you've created,

How your nervous system feels lighter,

More free,

More calm,

As you reset the flow of energy through your central channel and allow your nervous system to come back into balance.

Know that this place is yours.

Just gently blink open your eyes.

Know you are held.

Know you are loved.
