Welcome to this meditation.
It is for you when you want to feel more fulfillment when you're successful.
A lot of people are pretty successful with a lot of things like work or managing their families or having a great circle of friends.
But still they don't feel very fulfilled.
We will use this meditation to open up space for exploration of some inner parts that are relevant here.
And meet them with curiosity and kindness.
So to begin,
I invite you to make yourself comfortable.
You can sit or you can lie down.
And to get settled in,
Take a breath.
And exhale.
And while you do so,
Close your eyes if this is good for you.
And let's create some space.
Focus on your breath.
And follow it with your attention.
Very gently.
Your inhale.
Your exhale.
And focus on your inhales a little bit more.
And feel the space that creates.
Or there is more room.
And feel that emerging space from the top of your head down to your toes.
And if you want to,
You can imagine that it's filled with soft light.
That flows through you.
Creating space for curiosity.
And kindness.
Kindness towards yourself.
You're safe here.
And then I invite you to turn your gaze inward.
And find the wonder in you.
The wonderer that.
.
.
Incessantly is trying to reach the next summit.
That keeps going.
The love's success.
And the excitement of trying to get there.
And while you get in touch with that part of yourself,
Ask yourself,
Where do you feel it in your body?
Might be a chest.
Might be even your pulse.
And now that you're connected with that part of yourself,
Ask it gently.
What's driving you so much?
And you can also expand that a little.
And ask that part of yourself.
What are you trying to protect?
Let the answers come as words or images without much thinking.
Let it just come to you.
Then breathe some acknowledgement in that.
And connect that with the words.
That you say internally to yourself,
Thank you that you're driving me.
And thank you for your protection.
You may be here with me.
Inform me.
And connect your awareness to your breath for a bit.
Could ground it again.
And then I invite you to connect to a different part of yourself.
Think of a time when you were really successful and very happy about that.
This time think about the moment of achieving something.
Not the chasing.
.
.
But the getting there.
What does that feel like?
This moment.
And give that moment of joy a bit of space.
So that it has some room to expand.
So that you can explore that sensation in yourself a little bit more closely.
And also find out where in your body you sense that the most.
Drive to reach something.
And work towards a goal.
Is exciting.
And we can enjoy that.
The moment that we reach that goal,
Gives us a moment of joy.
These things are different.
They both have their respective space.
And you were just exploring both.
To see the difference in yourself.
Then let your attention drop back into your breath again.
For a little bit of groundedness.
Next I invite you to connect to a third part of yourself.
To the part in yourself that is holding some longing for things that you don't have at the moment.
It could be an activity,
Like something that you want to spend your time doing.
Could also be.
A sensation or a state of mind like more quiet.
Or more connection to other people.
Something completely different.
You will know what it is,
If you will.
Open.
And curious.
And kind.
This part very often is a bit slower.
While the part of us that's chasing for something is much faster.
And also more energetic.
So give yourself some time.
To let this part of yourself come up.
Might help if you connect to your physical sensations and can locate it in your body.
Show some encouragement by asking yourself,
What does this part need?
To show up.
And you can give it some encouragement.
Or simply saying to yourself.
I see you.
And you're enough.
I make room for you.
And connect the idea of room.
With your inhales.
Ever so gently.
Create space And now's the time for you to invite all these three parts.
In this space.
The chasing part.
The enjoying part.
And the longing part of yourself.
And you can almost imagine them as musicians of a mini orchestra.
They play together but at different speeds.
And at different volumes.
But each instrument is important.
That just needs some guidance.
And out of your center,
Let some wisdom come up to provide exactly that guidance.
What would these three parts of you need to be in more balance with each other?
Take a step back.
Who would need some encouragement.
We would need to wait a little.
And let your wisdom really answer all these questions.
And create a sense of balance.
And just as you imagine this balance,
Connect to the sense of fulfillment that creates.
And let this expand.
Really feel it.
And also feel how this is more than the excitement that you get from chasing something and the achieving something at the end.
This is deeper.
And it shows up when you create space.
You can always do that because all of this is in you.
Now to close our practice.
Thank each of your three pods for showing up.
And then begin to softly wiggle your fingers.
Move your toes.
And then take one final breath.
And on your exhale,
Open your eyes.
Thank you very much for joining this meditation with me.
I do wish all the best for you and that you can bring a lot of fulfillment to your moments of success.
See you next time.
