And now it's time to relax.
Thank you for joining me.
My name is Dr.
Connor Logan.
I'm a doctor of acupuncture and oriental medicine.
And this meditation is unique.
As it's meant to be used along with your acupuncture treatment.
I use it.
To help you resonate.
With the points that I am using to begin your treatment.
Along this journey,
You'll learn about these points.
And deepen your connection.
Allow yourself to settle comfortably onto the table.
Let your body be fully supported.
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And a long easy breath out.
Again,
Inhale slowly.
And exhale,
Letting your body begin to soften.
Give yourself permission to do nothing for the next few minutes.
There's nothing that needs to be accomplished except your connection with your treatment.
Bring your awareness to your hands and your feet.
Notice the points in your hands and the points in your feet.
They are called the four gates.
There may be a sensation there,
Tingling,
Pressure,
Warmth,
Movement of energy.
Or maybe something very subtle.
Without forcing anything.
Imagine these points gently opening.
Like doorways.
As you breathe in,
Sense energy flowing in through your hands and feet.
At these points.
As you breathe out,
Feel that energy circulating through your body.
And extending outward again.
How it circulates and where it goes is something for you to observe and connect with.
A steady exchange.
Inside and outside.
Not separate.
Now begin to notice the connection between your hands and your feet.
Left to right,
Upper to lower.
As if energy is flowing through these pathways,
Meeting in the center of you.
And then expanding outward again.
Take a few breaths here,
Simply noticing this gentle circulation.
Now.
Bring your attention to your lower legs.
To a point just below the knee.
This point is called Susanli.
It is the 36th point.
On the energetic pathway known as the stomach meridian.
Sense this point on each side.
Imagine a steady flow of energy beginning here.
Flowing down alongside your shins.
Through the ankle and into the feet.
Like a stream moving downward,
Grounding you.
With each breath out,
Feel that downward flow becoming smoother,
More continuous.
Connecting you deeply.
Into the surface beneath you.
Now shift your attention.
Slightly higher,
Just above the knee.
To the points.
In your inner thigh.
These are the tenth points on the energetic pathway known as the spleen meridian.
Notice these points.
Imagine a different quality of movement here.
Instead of descending,
Energy is rising.
From the inner thighs,
Gently lifting upward into the hips,
Into the pelvis.
A nourishing,
Supportive,
Upward flow.
As you breathe in,
Sense that lift,
That subtle energizing quality.
And as you breathe out,
Allow it to spread and integrate.
Through your hips and lower body.
Now.
Bring your awareness to the center of your abdomen,
Ren 12.
This is also known as the conception vessel.
This is the most inner.
Fragile and nourishing of the energetic pathways.
Notice any sensation here between your navel and your breastbone.
Imagine a gentle warmth beginning to gather like a soft glow.
With each inhale,
That warmth builds slightly.
With each exhale,
It spreads through the abdomen,
The ribs,
The center of the body.
A quiet,
Steady warmth,
Comforting.
Regulating.
Let your breath settle into the space for a few moments.
Now bring your awareness to the space between your eyebrows.
This is a special point,
An extra point,
Called yin tang.
Notice the quality of the sensation here,
Perhaps a lightness or softness or a quiet pressure.
Imagine this point as a place where the mind can settle.
With each breath out,
Allow your thoughts to slow.
No need to stop them.
Just let them pass.
Like clouds moving across the sky.
A wide sky.
Feel a sense of openness here,
Calm,
Steady.
Now,
Begin to sense all of these points together.
Hands and feet gently opening and exchanging.
Susan Lee flowing downward through the shin.
Spleen 10 rising upward toward the hips.
REN12 warming and centering your abdomen.
Yin-tang,
Quieting and clearing the mind.
All of these movements happening at once,
Without effort.
Take a few breaths,
Simply noticing the whole pattern.
Your body as a system of flow,
Connection,
And balance.
Rest here.
Focus on this connection.
These points working together to expand,
Warm,
Regulate and balance your entire body and mind.
Your entire body and mind.
