Achieve profound levels of deep relaxation with this recording specifically designed for people who are not attracted to the idea of meditation. The recording has a slow fade at the end so you have the option to drift off to sleep, although feedback has suggested that most people don't make it to the end before they are fast asleep. This recording is so effective, it would also make a perfect introduction for anyone who has never engaged in a guided meditation before.

This audio recording is designed specifically for people who are not attracted to the idea of meditation,

But want to experience the same profoundly deep levels of relaxation that meditation can provide.

To begin,

Ensure you won't be disturbed and make yourself comfortable,

Preferably lying down on a comfortable bed or sitting in a comfortable chair.

You can also use this deep relaxation session at bedtime to help you go to sleep,

Ideally if you can.

Listen through headphones or earbuds as it will give you a more immersive and ultimately more effective experience.

Once you're comfortable,

Take a few long,

Slow,

Deep breaths and allow yourself to settle down as you listen to the sound of my voice.

It is well established that meditation can provide superb and extremely powerful benefits to your health and wellbeing,

But to many people,

Like myself,

Just the suggestion of trying meditation may conjure up thoughts of something that is perhaps dull,

Tedious or boring.

In a world full of constant distractions,

You may look upon meditation as something other people do,

But not yourself.

Or,

If you,

Like me,

Have a constantly chattering mind,

A never-ending stream of internal thoughts and distractions,

Then the idea of sitting still and focusing on nothing can seem almost impossible.

And this is why so many people will say,

I can't meditate.

You or others may have tried it once or twice,

But got little out of it,

Or found it to be a poor,

Fruitless or pointless experience.

So,

In this audio presentation,

I'm going to help you to experience a profound level of deep relaxation,

The same kind of really deep relaxation that people who successfully meditate will often experience.

In fact,

This recording may make you so relaxed that it is very likely you will fall asleep.

And the good news is,

It's going to be effortless for you to do this.

As easy as listening to music,

Ideally in headphones,

All you need to do is just listen along.

And by the end of this recording,

I guarantee at least 95% of anyone listening to this will either be deeply relaxed or fast asleep.

If you don't believe me,

Just give it a try.

You have so little to lose,

But so much to potentially gain.

You may even surprise yourself at how easy it will be for you to become deeply,

Profoundly relaxed and fall asleep,

Even if,

Right now,

You don't think this is going to work.

So let's begin by taking just another couple of long,

Slow,

Deep breaths,

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

If you can,

Try to make the exhales longer than the inhales.

So breathe in for a count of 4 and breathe out for a count of 5.

That's in for 4,

1,

2,

3,

4 and out for 5,

1,

2,

3,

4,

5.

That's good.

Just repeat this one more time.

Breathe in for 4,

1,

2,

3,

4 and out for 5,

1,

2,

3,

4,

5.

Very good.

Now just breathe normally.

Notice how your body has already started to relax.

If you feel the need,

Just have a little wiggle around of your limbs and perhaps your neck and shoulders.

Bench and relax your fingers and toes and then allow your whole body to just be.

Draw your attention away from your body now and bring it up to your mind.

It is likely you will have thoughts and chatter running through your mind.

This is completely normal.

Give yourself permission to set any persistent thoughts aside in the knowledge that you can deal with them another time.

Setting aside thoughts is not always easy to do,

So let's set a scene that will help you to tame any of these chattering thoughts.

This is technically known as guided visualisation.

Some people also call this guided meditation,

But the label is not important.

It's simply a process where a relaxed guiding voice,

In this case my voice,

Helps you to create an image within your mind.

This image gives you something to focus on and acts like a distraction,

Drawing you away from your own internal thoughts and mind chatter.

It is an easy way to unlock the mind's ability to effortlessly enter into a state of relaxed meditation and from there you can reap the rewards and benefits of being in the meditative state.

Being in this relaxed state of meditation for even just a few minutes a day can provide you with extremely powerful benefits to your health and wellbeing.

Doing this regularly can also have a cumulative effect and help you to see real and tangible improvements in your health and state of mind.

This includes less stress,

Better quality of sleep,

Better concentration and sharper thinking.

It can also promote greater creativity and much more.

The very best thing of all though is how incredibly simple and easy it is to achieve.

So let's now get you into that meditative state using guided visualisation.

Imagine you are at a beautiful paradise beach.

It can be a place in real life or a place born purely of your own imagination.

What's important is to make it a place where you can feel very comfortable,

Safe,

At ease and relaxed.

Picture the finer details of this place in your mind,

The temperature of the air.

You can choose whether you are in shade or sunlight,

Or both.

Think of the colour of the sand.

Is it pure white?

Or a more sandy colour?

Of the ocean,

Is it turquoise,

Aquamarine or just blue?

Perhaps a combination?

Here is the water.

Is it shallow?

Or does it get deep quickly?

This place is completely yours.

Create as you wish,

From this,

Your own beautiful paradise.

Look up at the pure blue sky.

Using your imagination,

Project any thoughts that may be going through your mind into small,

White clouds,

Softly across that clear blue sky.

These small clouds are representations of your thoughts,

And from here,

You can more easily detach from them and just watch them floating by,

Slowly and silently,

Without any need to worry about them.

Just spend some time now in this place,

Feeling more as the sound of the waves gently ebb and fall.

The sound is so soothing,

Taking you further into deep relaxation.

In this place,

You are safe and at ease.

This is your own sanctuary,

A place of absolute peace,

Your very own paradise,

That you can visit whenever you wish.

In this place,

Help but feel deeply,

Deeply relaxed.

The sound of the waves caressing the shoreline lulls you further and deeper into levels of relaxation that are profound and healing.

This is what it feels like to be in a state of deep relaxation.

Allow these gentle sounds to lull you further down.

Now lead rest into blissful serenity,

Into sleep.

Feel how sleep is within easy reach now,

So relaxing,

So healing,

So restful,

So soothing.

Sleep.

Sleep.

Sleep.

Sleep.
