
Releasing Trauma From Your Emotional Body

This meditation will use somatic processes and breathwork to help you find the pain and trauma in your body and to help with releasing it in a supported and grounded way. These are tools that I use in my coaching and healing practices.
Transcript
Before you close your eyes I want you to get really comfortable.
The point of this session is to feel really safe and held.
So go and grab an extra blanket,
Pillows if you want them,
And make sure that you have enough space to lie down if you feel the need to do so at any point in time during this session.
Now get present in the room that you're currently in.
For today's meditation our mind is going to travel to the past.
We want to let our body know that although we are traveling to the past,
We are only viewing it.
And right now we are here in this present moment in this room.
We are safe.
Look around the room and I want you to focus on a few objects one at a time.
Really ground yourself into the space you are currently in.
You are here and you are safe.
When you feel present and safe I want you to start to focus on your breath.
Inhale for four seconds,
Two,
One.
Exhale for six seconds,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two.
Inhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two.
Inhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And continue this breathing cycle and as you do so I want you to start to think about the people that really support you,
That you feel really safe around.
Think about any spirits that you connect with,
Animals,
Angels.
Do you connect with any goddesses or gods or nature?
I want you to see a space that makes you feel good and feel the support of these people or spirits or energies that make you feel really safe and held.
You can also ask for your healed ancestors to join you and if you want to call in any energies from people in your life that are living then ask for the highest version of themselves to come and join you and support you today.
Feel that support all around you.
Now if it feels good I want you to put your hands somewhere on your body.
I like to put one hand on my heart and one hand over my belly but you choose what feels best for you.
And now I want you to start focusing inwards and notice if there is somewhere in your body where you feel discomfort or pain.
Where is it?
Focus on it.
What emotions are being held in this spot?
Does it feel like grief,
Betrayal,
Anger,
Fear,
Abandonment,
Or is it something else?
Remember we are witnessing these feelings and you are currently safe in the present moment.
Let the emotions that you're feeling,
Let them grow.
You are safe.
Let the emotions get bigger.
Allow yourself to feel them.
Say to yourself,
I no longer wish to store these feelings or hold this pain in my body.
I ask to release this pain and these emotions that have been stuck here for so long.
I ask for my team to help me to lessen the burden and to take this pain away from me.
I offer it to you now and I accept your help and your support.
See and feel the pain and the emotions expanding in your body,
Remembering you are safe and held in this present moment.
It's okay to feel these feelings.
They aren't going to be staying here.
We have made the request and the intention for this pain and the emotions to leave your body and they will.
See the pain as a pointed ball of light in that specific area in your body and see the light beginning to expand as you allow yourself to feel the emotions more and more.
This may feel extremely uncomfortable and this is because this is a pain that hurt you enough that you didn't want to feel it in the past.
You put it away to protect yourself.
The pain may have been too big at that moment in time for you to feel like you could handle it.
You are now choosing to feel and to let go of this pain so that it will no longer cause chaos in your body.
You may not feel strong right now but you are.
Releasing emotional pain from trauma is one of the hardest things that we can do.
Be gentle and keep going.
You are still safe in the present moment and you have your guides holding you and helping you to keep you safe.
And I'm also here for you too.
See that the light from the emotions and the pain,
See that it's fully consuming your body now and you get to take your power back,
Your light back,
And you get to harness this energy.
Focus on this light that is filling your body and see that it's starting to melt.
It's starting from the top of your head and it's slowly starting to come down your neck,
Over your shoulders,
Out of your chest,
Your torso,
And down your arms,
Past your navel,
Out to your fingertips.
It's going down past your hips,
Down your legs,
Your knees,
Past your ankles,
And it goes out of the bottom of your feet.
Let it puddle at your feet.
You just moved all of that pain,
All of those big emotions,
Out of your body.
Show yourself some appreciation for the power that you hold.
You did that and now you can visually see this puddle at the ground,
At your feet.
Watch as this puddle turns into a liquid golden color.
We are now going to transmute this pain into healing.
Intend for this puddle to drain through the earth and to watch it disappear.
This pain is now being filtered through the layers of the earth to be transmuted into something that you can use again.
Come back to you as healing energy.
See it floating back in a beautiful pure form,
The golden dust from Tinkerbell.
It's magical and it's healing and it feels light.
Feel your hands starting to get warm,
Ready to accept the healing that you've transmuted from pain.
Your hands are going to deliver this transmuted energy of healing into your body.
Place your hands where the pain originally started from and intend and deliver that transmuted healing energy that you created and put it back into your body.
You are your own healer.
You are strong,
You are safe,
And you are supported.
When you're ready,
Relax and then open your eyes.
Take a moment and feel whatever it is that is still currently present for you in this moment in your body,
In your emotional body.
You may need to cry.
You may want to curl up and go to sleep for a while and that's okay,
It's a part of healing.
You may feel very energized.
However your body feels,
Give it what it needs right now because this is very heavy healing.
Take a moment and look around the room again,
Especially if you still feel that you are not in the present moment and you're living in a different headspace somewhere in the past or still in the meditation itself.
Look around your room,
Focus on a couple of objects,
Ground yourself back here into the present moment.
You are here and you are with me right now and you are with everyone that is still supporting you on the spiritual side and you are also with you.
I'm going to take another three breaths together,
The same as how we started.
