Hey,
Welcome to this meditation all about finding meaning.
In this meditation I'm going to pose a few questions towards you.
You'll think them over and when we're done with the meditation I want you to write down
any insights you have.
Even if it's a rough draft,
Even if the grammar doesn't make any sense,
Even if it's just
a few words,
You'll later pick these up and think them through a little bit deeper.
But it's really important that you write these things down somewhere.
Your brain is great at problem solving,
It's not so good at withholding information,
Even
information that's important.
Let's get into this.
Sit up nice and tall with eyes closed,
On that spine up really tall and proud,
Telling
your body something important is about to happen,
Because it is,
Maybe one of the most
important things that you'll ever do.
This posture also tells your mind what type of person you are.
I want you to be as tall as a sunflower here.
Begin to breathe in and out as you begin to carve out this time for yourself.
Using that breath as a boundary to keep you in the present,
Like a force field from the
future and the past.
And as you do this,
Slowly begin to open up this dialogue with your inner voice,
Tuning
in to your inner voice and tuning out any distractions.
This can take a little while,
So no rush.
Just become aware of you in this place and this time.
One great technique for this is to rest your awareness on your breathing.
Another technique is to rest your awareness on what it feels like to be sitting right
now.
These are two great places for you to come back to if you ever get lost in thought during
this meditation.
So as you're getting settled there,
I'll just explain.
I have a series of prompts for you.
You don't need to answer them definitively.
I just want you to hear the questions,
Absorb them and then see what comes back,
If anything.
It's almost like shouting down a well and waiting for an echo.
You don't have to try or resist,
Just allow.
Let whatever honest answer emerges and honour whatever answer that is.
And if no answer comes,
Don't worry about it.
I'll give you five breaths for each question.
First question.
Why do you believe you are here on earth?
Question two.
What are you willing to die for?
Question three.
How can you best serve others?
Question four.
What natural talents are you neglecting?
Question five.
When are you most alive?
Question six.
When do you feel most connected?
Question seven.
When do you feel most sad?
Question eight.
When are you most happy?
Take your time to slowly come out,
No rush.
Slowly open those eyes,
Take a look around the room.
Again,
Be in no rush to get to your phone and check any social media.
Just let all of these thoughts resonate,
Almost like a bell ringing.
Let those vibrations just flow for a while.
I hope this has brought you some clarity or at least made you begin to think about where
clarity may be found.
This brings to close our meditation.
Don't forget to write down any insights that come up whenever they come up.
Namaste.
Well done for doing the meditation with me.
It's a tough one,
But an important one.
If you'd like to carry on this journey of self-development,
Then I implore you to check
out my course called How to Bloom this Spring.
You'll find more just like this,
And I think you're going to love it.
I hope to see you in there.
