Hi everyone,
My name is Juanita,
Aka The Caramel Yogi,
And I'm back with a 5-minute meditation to help you relieve test anxiety.
I invite you to sit nice and tall in an easy seated pose.
And as you find your comfort here,
You can close the eyes to the outward gaze.
Just for today,
Have your palms face up to the sky to receive the clarity and opportunities you are seeking.
When you are ready,
Let's take an inhale inviting the shoulders up to the ears.
And exhale any and all that will be serving you today.
Slowly focus on your breath and its fullness.
Allow your inhales to brighten your spirit.
As the exhales,
Guide your stresses elsewhere.
Again,
Take another inhale to fill the lungs,
Expand your heart open.
Find your freedom as we exhale out a relaxing sigh.
Create an intention for today of setting a boundary from you and your test.
The anxiety you may be feeling is due to the attachment of your worth on a grade or presentation.
Take this moment to remind yourself that you are more.
You are in control.
Your only goal is to be better than the person you were yesterday.
Take your yoga off the mat.
It's not about perfecting the pose or acing the test.
It's about your journey outside of the comfort zone.
Start to notice how much you've grown,
How you learned to think differently and realize your worth.
Your worth is always decided by you.
Breathe into this understanding that you are capable of anything you put your mind to.
At this moment,
You can continue to keep the eyes closed as I introduce sound healing into our practice with the heart chakra singing bowl.
Relax the shoulders back and away from the ears.
Unclench your jaw.
Release the tongue from the roof of your mouth.
Take a deep inhale.
And exhale the tension out of the body.
Allow the answers you need to flow back into your mind.
Focus on the stillness in the body.
Know that you can return here by returning to your breath.
Begin to return to now.
I invite you to bring hands to heart center on your next inhale.
As the healing song reverberates through your body,
Come back to the intention you set at the beginning of our practice.
Your air is setting boundaries and tuning into the present moment.
You are worthy of rest.
You are worthy of a reset.
Lift your chin a little higher knowing that you put in the work.
Softly inhale the shoulders up.
And exhale to release all doubt of your greatness.
I thank you for sharing your practice with me today.
Namaste.
Good luck on your test and I'll see you next time.
