I don't know about you,

But I know a lot of people,

Including myself,

Are feeling a lot of anxiety these days and so thought it would be a great idea to lead you all in a guided meditation for anxiety because we all know that mindfulness and meditation are wonderful tools to manage stress and anxiety.

As we find out where anxiety is residing in our body and we tune into those sensations,

It can really distract us from what we're worrying about and lead us to a greater sense of calm and peace of mind.

The breath is at the center of all of this,

And we know this just by tuning into the breath.

The breath is one of the best pathways to relieving anxiety.

So I invite you all to recline back,

Lie back,

Whether you're on a mat or a bed or sitting back in a chair,

And just gently close your eyes.

And let's try a soothing meditation to reconnect with the breath and alleviate stress.

Make sure you're comfortable and that you won't be disturbed by anything or anyone during the duration of this session.

And as you lie back,

I invite you just to gently close your eyes,

Palms outstretched,

And just begin by relaxing your jaw.

So just notice jaw relaxing,

Letting go,

Breathe in through your nose,

And exhale.

Just imagine that jaw releasing a little more,

Inhaling in through the nose,

Breathing in calm and peace.

And when you exhale slowly,

Release all your fear and anxiety,

Taking in another deep breath right in,

Breathing in calm and tranquility.

And then on the exhale,

Just feel yourself letting go of your worries,

Your stress and anxiety,

And just notice how relaxed you are feeling right now.

Calmer,

More serene,

Breathing in again in through the nose,

Breathing in positivity and joy.

And then just let go on the exhale,

Releasing the remaining stress and anxiety.

And everything,

Not just your jaw,

But everything should start to feel calmer and more relaxed.

Before you know,

You notice that a wave of relaxation comes over you more and more.

Breathing here,

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Taking this time for yourself,

Feeling calm and at peace,

And enjoying the wonderful feeling of relaxation and calm that comes over you more and more.

Say to yourself here,

All will be well,

All is well now.

And to seal that in,

Taking another deep breath,

A beautiful breath,

Right in,

Holding it at the top,

And then let it go in a nice long exhale,

Letting go and letting be.

Whenever you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Stretch,

Yawn and smile,

Come back to the space and thank yourself for allowing yourself this beautiful gift of calm and serenity in the middle of your day.
