Start by finding a comfortable seat.
For this visualization exercise,
You might feel more comfortable sitting down on the floor with a straight spine and your legs crossed.
You might want to let go completely and just allow yourself to lie down and be completely supported.
Wherever you are,
Start to deepen your breath.
This could look like taking a long inhale and a long exhale.
It might feel supportive for you to put one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart to really connect with the movement of your breath coming in and out of your body.
As you are starting to connect with the sensation of your breath,
It might feel supportive to take a few sighs out of your mouth and really release and let go.
As your breathing starts to feel more connected,
Start by lengthening your breath by breathing in for four counts through your nose.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And out for four also through your nose.
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Allow yourself to become more and more relaxed.
Today we're going to do some visualization about your 10-year vision.
Visualization is a practice widely used by business leaders,
Surgeons,
Athletes,
Entrepreneurs to maximize their potential and create new levels of success that they desire in their lives.
When you visualize performing at your very best,
Your brain shows us that those who do this more,
They achieve more and more levels of success and higher performance.
When we visualize,
We're mentally rehearsing situations and science tells us that when we start with the end in mind,
We allow ourselves more chances to move towards that future.
This is training our brain to look for opportunities that support our goals and it recruits our subconscious to bring out untapped potential in us and our abilities.
This really empowers us and changes the way we think and feel on a daily basis.
When you're visualizing,
We're priming our mind to bring forward the best version of ourselves.
Keep breathing and keep connecting with your breath.
We are all born with the desire to improve our lives.
It's time now to think about your 10-year vision.
Start by connecting with how old you'll be in 10 years.
In 10 years from now,
What age will you be?
Allow yourself to journey 10 years in the future.
During this exercise,
I want you to visualize a moment in time.
It's 10 years in the future.
Who are you?
What are you doing in this moment in time?
What have you accomplished?
How do you spend your time?
Where are you?
When you look around,
What do you see?
Who is with you?
What is the quality of the relationships in your life like?
Keep breathing and connecting with your breath.
In this moment 10 years in the future,
Notice how you feel.
What does this version of you feel like as you observe them?
Are they happy,
Fulfilled,
Content,
Excited?
What is it about watching them that gives you those sensations?
How are they embodying it?
Notice how you're spending your time.
Notice who is with you.
Perhaps you are packing to board a plane and go on a trip.
Maybe this snapshot is you in your backyard surrounded by children,
A spouse.
Maybe this snapshot is of you in a boardroom giving a presentation to high-level executives.
Whatever it is,
It has to feel right for you.
It has to excite you.
Notice what feelings come to mind and breathe into this version of yourself.
Breathe into this version of yourself that is so clear on what success looks like.
This version of you that embodies it in every,
Every moment.
Are there any smells or scents that you notice?
Maybe you can smell the barbecue or your favorite meal being cooked on the stove.
Maybe you're in a vineyard and you can smell fresh pasta being cooked.
Notice what those smells allow you to feel and keep feeling into this version of you.
Continue to breathe slowly and deeply.
Find a few more moments with yourself,
This version of you 10 years into the future.
Get a little bit closer.
As we start to come back into our bodies and back into the room,
Hold on to this image in your mind.
You can start by deepening your breath,
Maybe wiggling your toes.
And slowly when it feels right for you,
You can open up your eyes.
Come back into the space.
Come back into the room.
Maybe look around the room that you're in.
What do you notice?
This is a great time to pull out your notebook and just start jotting down some of the things that you heard or that you felt or that you sensed during this visualization exercise.
Resist the urge to doubt yourself.
Now is the time to be in complete possibility.
Now is the time to create your life without any limits.
When you're ready,
You can start writing your goals now,
Drawing from this vision.
Once you've captured the vision in your notes and written out a little scene,
You then start pulling out the actionable goals and steps that you can start taking.
Consider that you already have everything you need.
Consider that you already have the answers and let them flow from you.
