Welcome,
Love.
Find a position where your body can feel supported,
Perhaps lying down or seated with your back against a cushion or chair.
Allow your hands to rest where they're comfortable.
If it feels safe for you today,
Gently soften your gaze or close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and let it out with a long exhale through your mouth.
Let each breath be a soft signal.
You are safe here.
Begin to notice the surface beneath you.
Feel its steadiness.
Let yourself lean into it a little more,
Trusting it to hold you.
Bring your attention to your feet,
Even if they are resting,
Imagine them rooted into the ground beneath you.
Feel the quiet support that is always there.
For many of us,
The idea of home has been tied to places or people outside ourselves.
Sometimes,
Those places feel safe,
And sometimes they don't.
Over time,
We learn that our truest home is not always somewhere we can find by traveling.
It is a space we can build inside,
A place where the masks are never needed,
A place that moves with us no matter where we go.
In your mind's eye,
Begin to imagine the doorway to this home within.
Notice its shape,
Its color,
The feeling you get standing at its threshold.
When you feel ready,
Step inside.
Notice what surrounds you.
Perhaps there is a soft light,
Textures that comfort you,
The scent of something familiar and warm.
Feel the air here,
How it kneads your skin gently,
How it invites you to breathe a little deeper.
This is a place where every part of you is welcome.
Every emotion,
Every thought,
Every memory.
Nothing here needs to be hidden.
Find a place to sit or lie down inside this inner space.
Notice how your body responds to being here.
You might sense your breath slowing,
The muscles in your face softening,
Your chest feeling more open.
You can rest here,
Knowing that this place belongs only to you.
It is always available,
And you can return in a single breath.
When you are ready to leave this meditation,
Know that you are not leaving your home behind.
It comes with you,
It lives in you.
Begin to deepen your breath,
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Feel the surface beneath you again.
When your eyes open,
Carry this sense of inner home with you,
A reminder that safety,
Belonging and rest are never further away than your own presence.
And as always remember,
You are loved,
You are enough,
And you are whole.
