Find a comfortable position for your body today.
And before we regulate,
Let's orient.
Let your eyes gently close or soften your gaze.
Noticing the room around you,
The temperature,
The sounds,
The support beneath you.
Burnout often happens when the body has not felt safe enough to rest deeply.
So we start with safety.
Take a slow inhale and a longer exhale.
Again,
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your jaw unclench,
And let your breath become smaller,
Quieter.
Your nervous system does not need intensity,
It needs steadiness.
Burnout is often chronic override,
Pushing through,
Meeting expectations,
Masking discomfort,
Suppressing needs.
So here we practice not overriding.
Notice if there is a part of you that is trying to do this well,
And let that part rest too.
If it feels okay,
Place both hands on your torso,
Feeling the comfort of your own touch.
Feel your weight.
Feel gravity.
You do not need to hold yourself upright through effort.
You are supported.
Whisper inwardly,
I can stop pushing,
And let those words land.
Burnout recovery is not immediate,
But regulation is.
Slow breath in.
Longer breath out.
Imagine your nervous system is like a dimmer switch,
Not flipping off,
Just slowly lowering intensity.
Feel your heartbeat.
Feel your body temperature.
Feel where your body is contacting the surface beneath you.
Sensitive and neurodivergent systems often burn brightly.
Deep processing,
High empathy,
Constant awareness.
You are not too much.
You were under-recovered,
So now we restore.
Stay here in steady breathing for several cycles.
When your system feels even slightly calmer,
Ask yourself gently,
What is one thing I can remove this week?
Not add,
Remove.
Burnout resets are about subtraction.
More space.
More pauses.
More honesty.
You are allowed to choose sustainability over performance.
Let's stay with this question quietly.

Notice your body now.
Even a 5% shift matters.
