Hello and welcome to this self-love meditation.
Get yourself comfortable,
Make any adjustments you need to,
Feel as if you can be as present as possible while you're here.
As you're getting comfortable,
I'd like you to imagine a landscape or a place in which you feel great peace and completely at home.
It can be a place that is familiar to you or it can be a place that is completely fresh from your imagination.
But in this place you feel calm,
Relaxed and open.
You can imagine the sounds around you,
You can imagine the temperature of the air and how it feels on your skin.
You can imagine the colors and the quality of light as you're sitting here in this location.
I'd like you to imagine that somebody is walking towards you from a great distance.
You feel completely relaxed as they approach,
Knowing that this is the reason that you're here in this location today.
They approach becoming closer and more of their being you begin to recognize until they're right in front of you.
They sit down and you look each other in the eyes and you realize that this person is you.
Receive yourself physically,
Receive yourself energetically.
See what expressions are on your face,
Quality in your eyes,
What you might be wearing,
How you're holding yourself.
Take a few moments to really absorb everything about this version of you and now notice how you feel towards that person.
How do you feel looking at them?
Are there any emotions or thoughts or impressions that arise?
Allow any emotions that are coming,
Letting them be there.
Now see what you can do.
Look at this person through the lens of Ahimsa,
Of benevolence or non-violence as it can be translated.
Tune into this energy of compassion,
The desire for all other beings to be happy and the compassion for beings that they do not suffer.
See what you can do to tune into and transmit this energy of goodwill towards this version of yourself in front of you.
If it helps you focus on this intention you can say an affirmation like may you be happy,
May you be loved,
May you be well.
Notice any emotions,
Any sensations,
Any release or shift of energy that might be occurring in you as you practice this compassion towards yourself and then wherever you are in the process come back to yourself and look yourself in the eyes.
You can imagine that this person,
This you,
Smiles at you.
What is it like to receive that smile?
What is it like to see this person light up with love and friendliness towards you from their smile and from their eyes,
From the energy that they're transmitting?
What can you tell about this person's gifts,
About where this person truly shines and when they are most authentic they make you feel loved,
Seen and appreciated.
How is it to be loved by yourself?
Now you can imagine that both of you are smiling at one another,
Blissful,
Overflowing with love and joy to be connected in this way.
The colour of connection blooms from each of you creating a beautiful bubble of connection,
Bubbling waters from the heart,
Sharing that mutual joy,
Mutual recognition.
If you wish you can reach out and hold the hands of this version of you or have a big hug and you can now take a moment to say anything that you feel to say to yourself,
Any words of advice or encouragement or appreciation and see that these words are truly received by the you in front of you and see if there's anything that this you would like to say to you as well.
Truly receive those words,
Let them land in you and fill you.
Share a final gaze with yourself,
Take their hands and yours,
Breathe in and breathe out.
This person in front of you,
Your new friend,
Stands up,
They place their hand on your shoulder,
They look you in the eyes and you know you'll be seeing them again.
They turn around and begin to walk away,
Back to where they came from and as they walk away imagine transmitting that goodwill,
Prayers for their journey,
Blessings for their path ahead,
Showering them with love,
Beauty and truth.
When you're ready you can come back to the sensations in your body,
You can hold your heart with your hands if you want to,
Connecting to yourself,
That ahimsa,
That loving compassion and kindness and if there's any intention you'd like to use that for yourself,
To be in greater loving relationship with yourself,
To treat yourself with greater kindness,
You can say that to yourself now.
When you're ready you can open your eyes and come back to the room.
