This is a morning guided meditation to start the day with a positive outlook. Connect with the breath and sensations in the body as you start a new day with a clear outlook. Be aware of the sensations of the breath and carry this with you during your day.

Hello and welcome to today's morning meditation.

Finding a position which is comfortable for you and listening to your body.

Lying down if that's what it needs right now or sitting up with your back straight with a sense of dignity.

And if you feel comfortable gently closing your eyes or lowering your gaze.

And just starting to really take notice of any sensations in the body.

The contact of the body against the bed.

Flying down.

Or of the feet against the floor.

Being aware of any sensations of tingling or aching.

And noticing the breath.

The cycle of the inhale and the exhale.

Noticing any parts of the body which are involved in this process of breathing.

Perhaps noticing the shoulders lifting.

And dropping.

The chest.

Rising and falling.

The stomach.

Rising and falling.

Just being aware of any thoughts that may come to mind about the day ahead.

Perhaps wondering what will happen.

Who you shall see.

And just acknowledging where the mind has gone and gently bringing it back to now,

The present.

And focusing on the breath.

Really being aware of this moment.

And really acknowledging the conscious choice you've made this morning.

To give yourself this time.

And acknowledging that you can carry this through with you during the moments of your day.

And just having an awareness of any other sensations in the body.

And gently open your eyes if they've been closed as we draw this meditation to an end.
