Intention-setting practice to help you cultivate more peace,
Clarity,
And mindfulness in your days.
By acknowledging what matters most to us each morning,
We can cultivate an incredible inner strength,
Clarity of purpose,
And a calm center so that you can meet each day with the very best of who you are.
Please do not listen to this recording while driving or operating heavy machinery.
Let's begin in a nice,
Comfortable position that you can maintain for a few minutes,
Whether that is sitting or lying down.
Slowly starting to draw your awareness to your buddy in the space that it's in.
Closing the eyes and turning your attention and your gaze inward.
Beginning to connect with the natural rhythm of your breath without trying to change your alter-it in any way.
Feeling how your breath is moving through your buddy.
Letting go of anything that may have happened outside of this moment.
Fully feel the movement and flow of your breath.
Taking three deep,
Slow,
Mindful breaths to settle in.
Filling your lungs with as much air as they can handle.
And gently releasing.
And starting to invite a space of contemplation.
Opening yourself up to receive whatever answers arise without resistance as you ask yourself the following questions.
What matters most to you today?
We can so easily get caught up in the momentum of the headlong rush of daily life.
Defending ourselves,
Putting one foot in front of the other.
But hey,
You'll only live this day once.
So what matters most?
What would you like to let go of?
Were you holding resentments,
Regrets,
Or grudges that no longer serve you?
I invite you to review yesterday and release anything that may no longer feel aligned with where you would like to move toward.
Who do you choose to be today?
What are the values that you choose to express and live today in the world?
Who do you want to be?
Would you like to cultivate more joy,
More compassion,
More empathy,
More love,
More love for yourself?
Allowing whatever answers arise to just sit in your mind's eye.
Showing them the power to drive your attention,
Direct your intention,
And focus your energy on what is going to serve you the best today.
Taking three deep,
Slow,
Mindful breaths.
Beginning to draw your awareness back to your physical body.
Begin to feel the sensation of the support beneath you.
Feeling the weight of the clothing and accessories that you put onto your skin today.
Gently starting to blink your eyes open.
Taking in everything in your visual field from the colors to the shapes to the different textures that surround you.
Remembering to keep your energy flowing,
To keep living with intention.
The secret of change is to focus all of your energy,
Not on fighting the old,
But on building the new.
