This gentle guided meditation sheds light and healing upon an event wherein the person is making themselves pay for a past event. This could involve a person or an animal. Guilt can be a prison that taints all aspects of your life and the way in which you see the world. It prevents you from knowing how good you are at your core. With this meditation, you can choose to release the guilt, forgive yourself, and allow your compassionate nature to include yourself.

Guilt can be a prison that taints all aspects of your life and the way in which you see the world.

It prevents you from knowing how good you are at your core.

You can choose to release the guilt,

Forgive yourself,

And allow your compassionate nature to include yourself.

So let's begin.

Bring your attention to your breath to fully immerse yourself into this present moment.

Breathe into your heart and slowly exhale several times.

Intentionally create a sacred,

Energetic environment of acceptance and love.

Perhaps call on your spirit guides to surround you so you can feel safe.

Now bring to mind an incident of something you have been blaming or punishing yourself for that you feel you could have or should have done differently.

Acknowledge and activate the incident in your thoughts.

Now get in touch with your feelings about it.

How does it make you feel?

Sad?

Inadequate?

Do you feel emotional pain?

Do you feel angry?

Just observe the feelings that arise when thinking about the incident.

Pay close attention to your throat and your sacral chakra.

Often,

The energy of guilt accumulates at these energy centers.

What do you feel when you tune into these areas and the guilt from the incident?

Just bring awareness to any place that you notice more energetic congestion and breathe into it.

There's no force here.

Simply witness what you are feeling and allow the gentle release of guilt to be cleared from your energy field.

If you notice emotions surfacing to be released,

Say to yourself,

I am loved and I let go.

And then repeat that three times.

I am loved and I let go.

I am loved and I let go.

And then say,

I am loved and I forgive myself.

And I forgive myself.

I am loved and I forgive myself.

Intentionally extend compassion,

Love,

And forgiveness to yourself.

Perhaps place one or both of your hands on your heart or maybe even hug a pillow.

Here are a few statements to choose from that you can say to yourself.

I see that you are hurting.

I know that you are good.

I am here for you.

It is safe to release the pain.

I never had the intention to do harm.

Their pain and suffering are not my fault.

I made an error in judgment and I forgive myself.

I find peace with my humanity and offer my compassion for my healing process.

Now imagine compassion flowing into the crown of your head from the heavens,

Circling you like a warm blanket.

Breathe it in and allow it to fill your entire body.

Say to yourself,

May I be kind to myself.

May I accept myself as I am.

May I be at peace.

And you might want to repeat any of those again.

May I be kind to myself.

May I accept myself as I am.

May I be at peace around this issue.

You are worthy of your own love and forgiveness.

It is time to let this be in the past.

And when you feel complete,

Express gratitude to your soul and to the beings of light who have supported you through this journey.

And we say thank you,

Thank you,

And so it is.
