Hello,
This is Sydney welcoming you to Connecting to the Infinite.
Lesson five of the ten-part series,
Unlock Your Creative Potential.
In past sessions,
We set the stage for bringing our creativity to life and to light.
Now it's time to get started if you haven't already.
After each of the remaining lessons,
I encourage you to play with your creativity.
Take out your tools and sew that first stitch.
Draw that first stroke or sing that first note.
For those who are continuing your work,
It's time to pick up where you left off.
Pick up your creative tools again and write that next line.
Mold that next piece of clay.
But how do you do that?
You do that by connecting to the infinite source of creativity whenever and wherever you want.
Settle in and get comfortable laying down,
Sitting down or standing up,
Whatever works.
We're going to enter our meditative space together with three belly breaths,
Deep ones.
Here we go.
Breathe in and out.
Breathe in and out.
This time in and out.
Now let's go deeper with a body scan from head to toe.
Put your attention on the top of your head,
Your face,
The back of your head and your ears.
Move the feeling down into your neck and feel the energy swirling down into your shoulders and collarbone.
Now feel the energy swirling around your arms down to your elbows.
And from your elbows down your forearms and the backs of your arms.
Draw the creative flow down into your wrists,
Hands and fingers.
Now back up from the shoulders.
Feel the energy moving down your back.
Feel the energy swirling around your front,
Your chest,
Your breasts and belly.
Now move your attention to your pelvis and bottom and next the back of your thighs.
Move the energy to the fronts of your thighs.
Feel that energy in your knees.
Now your shins and your calves.
And lastly your ankles,
Feet and toes.
For today's meditation let's visualize being made of the same source energy as everything else in the universe.
So with your eyes closed imagine the core of the earth,
The fiery center,
So much heat and energy.
See that in the core of your belt.
There in the middle is hot molten energy.
That energy expands moving up your body and down your body to encompass your whole body.
What does that molten hot energy feel like to you?
Does it feel tingly?
Do you feel heat?
That same energy that creates mountains and hills and valleys.
Let's move now to the earth's surface and connect with the transformational energy that feeds trees.
See the roots in the ground?
Think of your fingers and toes and limbs like roots.
Your roots bring in little molecules of energy,
Of food sources through water and minerals.
Can you feel that energy flowing into you?
From your limbs into your belly,
Into your head,
Into your soul.
You are transforming and using those little molecules of energy to grow,
To stretch,
To be big and beautiful.
At the same time,
You as a tree are lifting your limbs,
Your leaves,
Your face up to the sun and you're receiving that heat energy from the sun.
As you convert that heat energy and the molecules in the earth,
They swirl around you.
What does that feel like?
Do you feel icy hot sensation?
Do you feel warm and tingly?
Do you feel cool?
And now let's expand beyond the earth's atmosphere into the universe with stars and planets,
Suns and moons.
You fill up this space,
You fill up the universe and the universe fills you up.
You are and you are full of the ultimate life energy,
The energy that has created everything.
It is yours and you are it,
The energy that has created everything.
Can you feel the expansion in your cells?
Can you feel the creative energy in your soul?
Can you feel the love that abounds?
Breathe it in,
Breathe it all in.
As you connect to that feeling of expansion,
That feeling of aliveness,
The feeling of possibility,
Those are all part and parcel of the feeling of creativity.
With that feeling,
Think about the things in your life that you've experienced,
Things that you do that connect you to that sort of energy.
For me it's dancing,
Walking in nature.
What are the things that you use to connect to that creative energy?
I encourage you after the meditation or to take a pause now and write these things down as a reminder.
When you're feeling stuck or you're looking for direction in your creative works,
Use these tools to tap back into the creative power that's in you and around you.
Remember what it feels like at the earth's core,
At the earth's surface and even beyond into the universe.
Feel that tingly feeling,
That warmth,
That coolness.
Reconnect with that.
Take a moment,
Reconnect with that and then dive back into your work.
If it's helpful,
You can even create an affirmation to help connect you easily and effortlessly to the creative powers.
For example,
You might say,
I am one with the universe,
With the trees,
With the sun,
With the earth's core and the power that created those flows through me now.
Play around with it and find out what affirmation might work for you.
In the meantime,
We're going to end this session with our usual affirmation.
Feel free to repeat after me out loud or in your head.
I am bold,
Brave and kind.
Happy,
Healthy and wealthy.
Beautiful and brilliant.
And I am loved.
Thank you for taking part in part five,
Connecting to the infinite.
The next part is creativity breeds creativity.
I look forward to joining you then.
In the meantime,
Stay creative.
