Hello my sweet,
Sweet soul.
Thank you so much for carving out your precious time and having a look inward.
We hear a question a lot,
What is my purpose?
A lot of us are asking ourselves this question.
And in order to uncover our purpose or our dharma,
We first need to connect to our authentic self.
We're not our thoughts.
We are the thinker of our thoughts.
At times our thoughts may appear to bombard us,
Overwhelming with to-do lists and all of the plans that fill up our days.
They can spin through our heads with seemingly no space in between.
Sweet soul,
You have landed here to explore that space in between your thoughts,
That sacred,
Quiet stillness,
That plane of infinite possibilities,
Where your soul resides,
Your higher self,
Your inner light,
Your true,
Authentic self,
Lies in that gap between your thoughts,
In the silence.
The Sufi poet Rumi says,
Out beyond all ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing,
There is a field.
I will meet you there.
We tend to live from our egos in today's chaotic world.
They protect us and they have their place.
But we don't want to live from our egos all the time.
When it comes to connecting to our purpose or our dharma,
We need to make that connection from our hearts,
From our authentic self.
Our ego is too limited and our ego sits with just memory and desire and does not have access to infinite possibilities.
As we meditate,
We begin to shift our internal reference point from ego to soul,
From fear to love,
From anxiety to peace,
And from constriction into expansion.
Ask yourself right now,
As you listen to this meditation,
Who is the voice inside your head?
Who is asking the questions?
Once we connect to our true self,
Our purpose becomes clear.
So let's take a minute,
Breathe into our heart space,
And I'm going to ask you four soul questions.
Please get comfortable and if it's okay for you to do so,
Close your eyes.
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose.
Let it go with a nice big sigh.
Just settle in to your body.
Notice where your feet hit the ground.
Notice the chair you're sitting in.
Notice where your sits bones reach the chair and notice your feet on the earth.
Take one more deep breath.
Feel your shoulders drop.
Relax your jaw and all those tiny muscles in your face.
Just feel them melting and relax.
Now repeat silently after me.
Who am I?
Who am I?
Who am I really?
What do I want?
What is my deepest desire?
What do I want more than anything?
What is my purpose?
Where do my natural strengths and my passions overlap?
What is it that I would like to offer?
What is my gift to offer to my community,
My friends,
My family,
And others around me?
And what am I grateful for?
Now let go of all those questions.
Just allow them to float away into the universe.
And they will be held and answered when you're ready to hear the answer.
Don't worry if you didn't get an answer right away.
Now let's focus all of our breath back to our heart center.
Breathe into that heart space.
Just imagine the beautiful emerald light.
As you breathe in,
It gets brighter and brighter and brighter.
It's filling up all of your cells with all of that passion and dharma,
Purpose.
Once you connected to who you really are,
You can see with clarity through any fog,
Any doubt,
You know exactly what your dharma is.
Just imagine that beautiful emerald light filling up all of your cells and your body and emanating outward.
This is your dharma,
Your heart space.
This is you sharing your gift with the world.
Now just let all of that go and know that if you ever feel doubt or confusion that you can just connect into those quiet spaces between your thoughts.
And remind yourself who you are and what your purpose is.
Plant those seeds and just watch them grow.
Thank you so much for sharing your precious time and looking inward.
The light in me sees and acknowledges the light in you.
Namaste.
The light in me sees and acknowledges the light in you.
