Here in this scenic setting, I allow myself to relax totally – first by just relaxing into the environment. The secret of relaxation is so simple, it is simple acceptance. I am aware of the sounds, the touch, the smells. I can visualise in my mind this place – the green lawns, the woods, the pond, the geese, the ducks, the swans, the loons. I don't want anything to be different. I just let everything be itself. Nidhidhyasana – adapted from Swami Dayananda

Om Namah Shivaya.

I am relaxed.

My mind is free from all concerns,

Free from any anxieties,

Free from worries,

Because I know what is,

Is puram.

What is,

Is complete.

What is,

Is whole.

Neither do I have to become complete,

Nor do I have to create completeness.

There is no need to make any changes around to create wholeness or completeness.

There is no need to change myself to be complete or whole.

Poonmivavashishtari.

What is,

Is complete.

Just as on the surface of the ocean there is a lot of movement,

But in the depth of the ocean there is profound silence,

And so also on the surface of existence there is a lot of change,

A lot of movement.

But in the depth of all this movement,

In the depth of the change,

There is profound changelessness,

Profound silence.

What is required is for me not to give reality to what appears on the surface.

What appears,

What I experience are the names and forms,

But certainly they are limited.

They are changing.

When I give them reality,

They cause attachment and aversion.

I accept the universe of names and forms as it is.

I give up all agenda for everything and everybody.

I give the world the freedom to be what it is.

Know that what appears on surface is an appearance.

I don't have to give too much importance to appearance of people,

Of events,

Of gain and loss,

Of success and failure,

Of honor and dishonor,

Of comfort and discomfort.

This is all on the surface.

An appearance,

Let it be.

Neither do I reject anything,

Nor do I quote anything.

I am objective,

Non-demanding,

Not expecting any change.

I have no agenda for anything or anybody.

Things are favorable,

That is Ishvara's prasad.

Unfavorable,

That is also prasad.

Honor,

Prasad.

Dishonor,

Prasad.

Success,

Prasad.

Failure,

Prasad.

Acceptance,

Prasad.

Action,

Prasad.

What is,

Is in order.

I have no demand that anything should be different.

I have no agenda for anybody or anything.

I am comfortable with the way things are.

Because I don't want them to be different.

I have no agenda for anybody or anything.

I accept as it is the world of people,

The world of events,

The world of situations.

I am comfortable,

Happy with everything as it is.

No complaint,

No blaming,

No expectation.

I do not invite anything,

I do not reject anything.

Let everything be what it is,

What it wants to be.

About myself also.

No attempt to become different from what I am.

I am in order as I am.

My accomplishments are in order.

My lack of accomplishments are in order.

My successes,

Failures.

My gains,

Losses.

Everything is in order as it is.

I am in order as I am.

The body is in order as it is.

No demands,

No expectations,

No anxieties.

I am comfortable with my body.

No complaints.

I am comfortable with my mind,

With its thoughts and emotions and opinions.

With the capacities of my mind,

With lack of capacities,

I am comfortable.

I am comfortable with my mind.

I am comfortable with myself as I am.

No regrets.

Because everything is puram as it is.

In puram,

Completeness,

Wholeness.

There can be no growth,

No decay.

My mind is free from any agenda for anything.

No agenda for the world,

No agenda for myself.

Then I see that the name and form that I am is also superficial.

The name and form that the world is,

Is also superficial.

It is immaterial what it is.

Because like the depth of the ocean and the depth of the existence,

There is profound silence,

Profound comfort,

Profound contentment.

When I give up my concern about what is superficial,

When I completely accept what is superficial,

Then I become familiar with what the true nature is.

And that is the tranquility,

Silence without any division.

There is no division such as I the individual and world.

Individual divisions also melt into silence.

I am comfortable.

I am contented.

I am silent.

There is no lack,

No want,

No boundary.
