Welcome to this EFT tapping session which is here for those moments or days when life feels really heavy and you need that gentle reminder that actually you can do hard things even when it might not feel like it.
So we're going to be tapping on a single phrase today which is I can do hard things and then we're going to be following following it with some really gentle and supportive words to really provide you with some comfort and strength.
Okay,
So we're going to begin with a nice deep breath in through the nose,
So nice big inhale.
Really expensive bra.
And then when you're ready,
Just releasing out through the mouth.
In your own time,
In your own way.
And just letting go a little bit on the exhale.
Well done.
Now we are skipping the side of the hand point today,
The setup phrases.
We're going straight to the tapping round.
So tapping on the eyebrow points,
Remembering that you're repeating after me either in your mind or out loud.
I can do hard things.
Even when I feel overwhelmed.
Side of the eye,
I can do hard things,
Even when I want to give up.
Under the eye.
I can do hard things,
Even when my heart feels heavy.
Really tapping with compassion and care.
Under the nose.
I can do hard things even when I doubt myself.
I can do hard things even when I don't feel brave.
Hollow bone points.
I can do hard things even when I cry in the middle of it.
And if you are feeling emotional here,
Just go really gently.
Just let whatever comes up,
Come up.
Just keep tapping and breathing and if it does feel too much to repeat the phrases just listen and tap along with me.
Well done.
And then under the arm.
I can do hard things even when I feel alone in it.
Top of the head.
I can do hard things.
Even when I don't have it all together.
And I'll let you into a little secret.
No one has it all together.
No one,
Myself included.
Okay,
Back to the eyebrow points.
Tapping gently.
I can do hard things and also rest when I need to.
Side of the eye.
I can do hard things.
And I'm allowed to fall apart sometimes.
Under the eye.
I can do hard things and still be kind to myself.
Under the nose.
I can do hard things.
And I don't have to do them perfectly.
Chin points.
I can do hard things.
And I'm learning to trust myself.
Collarbone points.
I can do hard things even when the path ahead.
Is I'm clear?
I don't know where I'm going.
Under the arm,
I can do hard things and still ask for help.
Top of the head.
I can do hard things and I'm doing the best I can.
I'm doing the best I can.
So just remind yourself of that.
Back to the eyebrow point.
I can do hard things and I take them one moment at a time.
Side of the eye.
I can do hard things even when it's messy or frustrating.
Or hard.
Hard things are hard.
Under the eye.
I can do hard things and I'm not weak if I struggle or feel tired.
Under the nose,
I can do hard things and I honour all the tears I've cried.
They got me through.
Chin points.
I can do hard things even when I don't feel strong.
Collarbone points.
I can do hard things.
And I'm allowed to feel like it's a struggle.
But I know I'll come out the other side.
Let that reassurance land.
Under the arm.
I can do hard things and I notice all the other people.
In life doing hard things too.
You know,
There's so many people that are really quietly just carrying something really heavy as they go about their lives.
Top of the head.
I can do hard things and I don't have to do them alone.
Back to the eyebrow points.
I can do hard things and I give myself credit for showing up.
You showed up today.
Thank you and well done for showing up,
So just take a moment to appreciate yourself.
Amidst all the hard things you'll hear.
And that's amazing.
Side of the eye,
I can do hard things and I celebrate my resilience.
Under the eye.
I can do hard things and still feel scared sometimes.
Under the nose,
I can do hard things and I'm learning as I go.
It's a journey.
10 points.
I can do hard things and still need gentleness.
Collarbone points.
I can do hard things and still be tender.
Tap with tenderness.
Under the arm.
I can do hard things and that includes letting myself feel.
Top of the head.
I can do hard things and I've already done so many.
Okay,
Let's do one last round.
Tapping on the eyebrow points.
I can do hard things and I honour the strength.
In just being here.
Side of the eye.
I can do hard things and I breathe through the discomfort.
So let's do that now.
We're going to take some breaths together.
Just letting any discomfort dissipate.
You can sigh out the breath on the exhale as well if that feels right.
So breathing in strength and courage.
And as you exhale letting go of tension and worry.
Just letting go.
Breathing in more of what you need,
Whatever that might be.
Breathing out anything that no longer serves you.
Just let it go.
Breathing in spaciousness and peace.
And breathing out any resistance or discomfort.
Hmm.
Just letting go.
Well done.
Under the eye,
I can do hard things and I carry quiet courage in my heart.
Under the nose.
I can do hard things and hold space for both strength and softness.
You can be strong and soft all at once.
Chin points.
I can do hard things and I'm so proud of how far I've come.
Collarbone point.
I can do hard things and I give myself compassion along the way.
And that's what you're doing right now.
So just stay here,
Just whisper that to your heart for a moment.
I can do hard things.
And still care for my soul.
I can do hard things and still treat myself softly.
Well done.
Then moving to under the arm.
I can do hard things and I'm not defined by my struggles.
And finally,
Top of the head.
I can do hard things and I carry this truth with me into my day.
Okay,
Well done.
So stop tapping there,
Take a deep breath in.
And then slowly exhale.
Really take a moment to let these words and energy settle into your heart and your nervous system.
Knowing that you're stronger than you realize and that tenderness and softness is really part of that strength.
When we think about being strong it's all like hard and hard edges but we can be soft.
You can do those hard things one breath,
One step,
Even one tap at a time.
You've got this.
Thank you for tapping with me.
Take care.
