Welcome to this EFT tapping session for creative flow.
So whether you're someone who paints,
Writes,
Makes music,
Cooks or dances or maybe you used to do those things and then somewhere along the way that kind of creativity,
That creative spark has quietly dimmed then this session is here to help.
We're going to gently tap on some of the things that can get in the way of creative flow whether that's perfectionism,
Comparing yourself to others that fear of not creating something that's good enough or simply the feeling that you've lost touch with that creative part of yourself.
And as we release what's blocking the way we're going to really open ourselves up for permission to be creative for play and for reconnecting with your own unique creative voice.
Okay,
So let's begin.
Find a nice comfortable position and you can have your eyes closed or just soften your gaze and then take a nice grounding breath in through the nose and slowly out through the mouth in your own time,
In your own way and then just breathing softly.
We're going to begin like always by tapping on the side of the hand so you're going to be repeating after me either in your mind or out loud.
Even though I've been feeling stuck when it comes to creativity I'm here showing up for myself today.
Even though I worry I'm not creative enough or that what I make isn't good enough I accept how I'm feeling right now.
Even though there's been a block between me and my creative self I choose to meet that with kindness today and I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Okay,
So for this first round we're just going to acknowledge those blocks tapping on the eyebrow point.
I'm feeling so blocked when it comes to creativity.
Side of the eye,
I feel heavy and stuck.
Under the eye,
It's like the creative well has run dry.
Under the nose,
I think about creating or I sit down to create and nothing comes.
Chin point,
Or if something does come I just shut it down.
Collarbone point,
I tell myself it's not good enough that I don't have the time or what's the point in even trying.
And you might like to think about any other blocks that come to mind here and just express those as we tap.
Tapping under the arm,
I really want to open up to creativity but there's something stopping me.
Top of the head,
And this makes me feel so sad.
So just acknowledging that sadness,
That disconnection,
Knowing that it's okay to feel sad about this.
Whatever is here is welcome.
Back to the eyebrow point,
This need to get it right before I even start.
Side of the eye,
I see what other people are creating.
Under the eye,
And I wonder if I'll ever be that good.
Under the nose,
This comparison steals my joy.
And you might like to remember the quote here,
Comparison is the thief of joy.
Chin point,
Maybe I hold myself to an impossible standard.
Collarbone point,
And when I can't meet those standards,
I don't create at all.
Under the arm,
What if perfectionism has been keeping me small?
Top of the head,
Maybe somewhere along the way,
I learned that there was a downside to creativity.
Now as we tap here,
Just notice what's coming up.
There might be an old voice,
An old memory,
An old wound.
Very often when it comes to creativity,
It can be shut down,
Dismissed,
Minimized.
So just notice what's here,
Remembering that whatever is here is welcome.
Back to the eyebrow point,
Maybe I'm afraid of getting started,
Or what I could create.
Side of the eye,
Afraid of being seen,
Being judged.
Under the eye,
What if I put my heart into something and it's not received well?
Under the nose,
What if it's rejected?
What if I'm rejected?
Chin point,
There's a vulnerability in creating that feels risky.
Collarbone point,
So it can feel safer not to even try.
Under the arm,
But not trying doesn't feel good either.
Just acknowledging that push-pull.
Top of the head,
I honour all these creativity blocks and I'm open to letting them go.
Back to the eyebrow point,
What if creativity isn't about being perfect?
Side of the eye,
What if it's just about honest expression?
Being real,
Raw and unfiltered,
Creating from the heart.
Under the eye,
I've created before and it felt good.
It felt good.
So as we tap here under the eye,
Just let your mind gently wander back to things that you've created over the years.
Maybe something that you made with your hands.
A delicious meal that you prepared and cooked that really brought people together.
A photograph that you took that just captured the perfect moment or the most beautiful scene.
It could be words that you've written,
A poem or a story or a letter.
A garden that you've tended to,
Where you've grown things.
Or a room that you decorated or arranged in some way.
There's really no right answer here.
We're just remembering,
Letting whatever comes,
Come.
Just thinking back to all those creative endeavours over the years.
All the things you've enjoyed doing or making or creating.
And I'd love you to just choose one thing that really stood out to you.
One thing that felt really good to create,
That you felt perhaps really proud of.
And let that feeling of pride live in your heart.
Bring that memory alive,
That memory of creating something.
How good it felt,
How proud you were.
What other people may have said,
What you thought,
What you felt.
Bring that memory alive and let that live in your heart.
And then let's repeat that affirmation again.
I've created before and it felt good,
It felt good.
Under the nose,
Maybe I can find my way back to that feeling.
Chin point,
Maybe I'm allowed to create just for the pure joy of it.
Collarbone point,
There doesn't need to be an audience.
There doesn't need to be a particular result.
And it doesn't need to be perfect.
Under the arm,
It just needs to be me and the making of something.
Top of the head,
Maybe creativity is feeling a little closer.
Back to the eyebrow point,
I give myself full permission to create imperfectly.
Side of the eye,
I release the pressure to have it all figured out.
Under the eye,
Creativity doesn't need to be earned.
I can be creative anytime.
Under the nose,
Creativity is here inside me,
Waiting.
Chin point,
I trust my instincts and my inner voice.
Collarbone point,
I'm allowed to play,
To experiment,
To try.
Under the arm,
And my creative expression matters.
Top of the head,
It's safe for me to let it out.
Okay,
So moving to the final round now for some positive integration.
Tapping on the eyebrow point,
I am a creative being.
You really are,
We all are.
We need creativity in our lives.
Side of the eye,
I trust the ideas that want to come through me.
Under the eye,
I create from the heart,
With love.
And as we tap here under the eye,
Just allow yourself a little moment of openness.
Is there something that's been quietly calling to you when it comes to creativity?
Something that perhaps brought you here today?
Maybe it's a creative project you've been putting off,
Or something brand new that's kind of been nudging at the edges of your mind and heart.
And I'd love to now explore whether there's an action you can take towards creativity.
And that might be as simple as getting a sketchbook down from a shelf,
Buying yourself a bunch of flowers to arrange,
Rummaging through the cupboards and finding the old paints or crayons or pens,
Planting something in your garden,
Or cooking something just for the joy of it.
Just notice what arises naturally without any pressure to act on it.
So just let your heart whisper something to you here.
What's calling you?
What's jostling you?
What's tugging at your heartstrings?
Something creative that's just there,
Waiting.
Let your heart whisper.
And if nothing in particular comes up,
That's okay too.
Trust that what is for you will not pass you by.
So you can stay open over the coming days,
Because inspiration has this beautiful way of finding us when we've made a little room for it.
And you've done exactly that today.
You've made a little room.
So just be open over the coming days.
Well done.
So moving now to under the nose.
I welcome inspiration with an open mind and heart.
Chin point.
I allow my creativity to flow with ease.
Collarbone point.
I am enough exactly as I am.
Under the arm.
I create freely,
Joyfully and without apology.
Top of the head.
Every cell in my body is alive with creative energy.
And I say yes to all that wants to flow through me.
So when you get those little nudges,
Say yes.
Say yes.
Okay,
Stop tapping there.
Close your eyes and place your hands on your heart.
Take a breath in.
And let it go.
So just sit here for a moment and notice how you feel.
Maybe there's a little more space or ease.
Maybe an idea is already beginning to stir.
Maybe you're itching to get started with something creative.
Maybe you need a little more time.
Whatever you're feeling,
Just know that it is completely valid and okay.
There's no need to push or force anything at all.
And if something wants to come through you this week when it comes to creativity,
Let it.
Without any judgement or pressure,
Just let it be what it is.
You can release the perfectionism and just get started.
See what flows.
Thank you so much for tapping with me.
Take care,
Gentle,
Creative soul.
