Welcome to this bedtime wind down tapping session.
Whatever today held for you,
Whether that's the good,
The hard and the in-between,
Let's take a little time now to help your body and mind gently cross the threshold from doing into resting and being.
So make sure you're sitting or lying in a comfortable position and take a nice breath to come into this space.
So nice slow inhale through the nose and slowly out in your own time and then breathing softly.
So I want you to imagine you're tapping after me.
Start tapping on the side of the hand,
Repeating after me either in your mind or out loud.
And if you prefer and you're in a very relaxed state you might like to just imagine tapping.
This can be just as beneficial.
So tapping on the side of the hand even though I'm still carrying the energy of today,
I'm open to letting it go.
Even though my mind is still running through everything I choose to be gentle with myself right now.
Still on the side of the hand even though I don't yet feel ready to sleep I need some time to wind down.
I'm doing okay and I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Moving to the eyebrow points.
All the things I did today Side of the eye,
All the thoughts that are still swirling round and round.
Under the eye,
All the things I didn't quite finish.
Under the nose,
My mind is still running the day's ticker tape.
Chin points and that's okay.
My body has done a lot today.
My mind has done a lot today.
Collarbone points.
I'm allowed to start slowing down now.
You're allowed to start slowing down now.
Under the arm,
The day is done.
Top of the head.
I can put it down.
I can release it.
Back now to the eyebrow points.
I don't need to solve anything else right now.
Side of the eye,
Whatever is unfinished will still be there tomorrow.
Under the eye,
I give my nervous system permission to soften.
Softening with every tap and every breath.
So you might like to take a gentle breath here and just allow your body to let go a little bit.
Letting go on the exhales.
Under the nose.
Tomorrow me can handle anything left over from today.

Right now my only job is to rest.
Collarbone points.
I'm releasing the tension in my body.
So as we tap here just allow your jaw to loosen and relax.
Let your shoulders drop.
Soften in the belly.
Under the arm.
I'm letting my body remember how to be still.
Top of the head.
I'm safe to soften.
It's safe to rest.
Okay final round now.
Returning to the eyebrow points.
I welcome in stillness.
Side of the eye.
I welcome in quiet.
Quieting the mind a little.
Under the eye,
My breath is slowing.
My breath is slowing.
My mind is slowing.
Under the nose,
My body knows how to sleep.
It's done it thousands and thousands of times.
Chin points.
I trust my body and mind to carry me into rest.
Collarbone points.
All is well in this moment.
Under the arm.
I'm safe.
I'm held.
I'm enough.
You're safe.
You're held.
You're enough.
You're safe.
Top of the head.
Drifting gently into calmness,
Into peace.
Well done.
So stop tapping there.
Take one more slow breath in.
And let it go.
You can close your eyes knowing the day is complete and it's time for sleep.
