Good morning.
I'm Susan Guttridge,
And I'm honored to be starting this day with you.
As you begin to awaken fully,
Take a moment to sense into the fresh possibility of the day unfolding.
With a deep breath,
Draw in the quiet potential of this new day.
And as you exhale,
Release any lingering echoes of yesterday,
Allowing yourself to arrive fully in this present moment,
Ready for what's next.
Inhaling in possibility,
Exhaling out leftover bits of yesterday.
Today,
For our morning inspiration,
I'd like to explore with you the power of releasing the need to be perfect.
Do you ever feel a pressure to get everything just right,
Or fear of making mistakes?
That's common,
And sometimes those high standards can actually keep us from even beginning in the first place.
Consider,
For a moment,
What it would be like if you could greet this day knowing that you have enough time.
And I don't mean enough time to complete all your tasks today,
Because life happens,
And sometimes it truly feels as though there aren't enough minutes in the day.
What I mean is enough time in this life to try,
To stumble,
To learn,
And to try again.
Imagine the freedom in understanding that mistakes aren't dead ends,
But essential steps forward.
They provide information,
Feedback,
Guiding you closer to where you want to be.
So for this morning,
Rest in the awareness that you don't need to be perfect,
That you are good enough,
That mistakes are just part of the learning along this pathway of life,
And that you have the gift of a next try.
Often the fear of doing it wrong can keep us stuck,
Preventing the first step.
What if the only real mistake is never taking action at all?
Alright,
Let's shift our focus from being perfect to simply trying our best right here,
Right now.
I'd like to welcome in your ability to trust,
Your capacity to learn,
And to adapt.
We don't need to arrive at getting things right the first time or in a single leap.
Trust yourself.
Trust that every effort,
Each attempted step,
Even those that lead to a detour,
Hold immense value.
I invite you to be kind to yourself through this process.
Interestingly,
Shame dissolves when we realize learning is a continuous unfolding,
And life does offer endless opportunities for refinement.
So as you move into your day,
Know that you have enough time.
Even say that aloud to yourself now,
I have enough time.
Allow that thought to be your anchor today.
If you falter in your day or stumble,
Pause and take a breath.
Gather your learnings and trust that there will be a next try,
And that's more than enough.
Your progress isn't about being flawless.
It's about persistent,
Compassionate engagement with life.
You are always learning,
Always growing,
And you have enough time for this journey.
Thank you for being here.
Be well today.
