Good morning,

Good afternoon,

Good evening So it's Friday,

We do things a little differently So let's just drop into a mindfulness of breathing And then I'll answer any questions or observations towards the end And the most important thing is that you relax Comfortable There's a willingness to be here In this moment So just relaxing into the body So just rest the attention on the breath Don't try to fix it Remember we're not going anywhere Trying to achieve anything The mind is going to present some stories to you Take you on a ride And you say to yourself,

That's thought Just a statement There's real life happening,

Sound of the ticking clock Distant traffic Refrigerator humming away The breath And there's the made up version What are you listening to?

Just checking you're not striving for something here You are,

Just take a deep breath And relax into the body Where's your attention now?

Okay,

You can carry on of course,

Just sitting quietly If there are any questions,

Particularly in forms of doubts If you've got any doubts,

You want to get them out Because they undermine our confidence Like they eat away at,

Like a moth eats away at the clothes in the wardrobe Just keep eating it away We don't quite realise it I suppose this is partly what I'm going to be talking about for the next five minutes or so So there's two,

You can categorise these in many ways But the benefit of this session,

Thoughts can be categorised into two categories And one category is the ego-centred,

Self-centred And the thoughts that come from ego-mind,

Ego-centred thinking Is imbued with the intelligence,

If you can call it intelligence Intelligence of,

Well they're always about me in some way Me,

My family,

My life,

My past,

My future,

My,

My,

My,

Me,

Me,

Me And they're always imbued with a kind of anxiety,

A kind of restlessness A kind of maybe jealousy,

Anger,

Worry,

Angst,

Discomfort of some sort They're imbued with that That's what most people are listening to most of the day for most of their lives And we think that's my life The other category of thought,

The other realm of thought It comes from intuition,

Wisdom And it's imbued with intelligence,

Wisdom and compassion It's got a feeling of expansion It's the thoughts that come through from intuition Or rather,

Let me put it another way The intuition begins to guide your life It becomes your guide Your purpose is naturally fulfilled Because in the other realm,

The self-centred realm Some of us are forever thinking about our purpose in life What am I supposed to be doing?

Which keeps us very mentally busy In this other realm,

We call it the intuitive realm,

It's quiet It feels very different There's a peacefulness to it So it feels right It's not full of angst And when we lose interest in the self-centred,

Ego-centred thinking We naturally listen more to the intuitive realm It's just the way it is And it brings a sense of contentment Well-being Life becomes more effortless Because in a sense you're being carried by the stream Because intuition is like a stream And you give yourself to the stream And the thoughts that come from the intuitive realm Are much more peaceful,

Creative,

Functional But you have to lose interest in the other realm Most of you will have your eyes closed at the moment That darkness that you see when you close your eyes That's the screen which the thoughts and images of your life seem to appear It's like the screen on the computer So you're walking along during the day And there's this internal screen With lots of images of you,

Your future,

Your past Disagreements,

Worries,

All appearing on the screen And we think that's my life It's not It's just a little movie show going on You are watching it But our identity has become mixed up with all those images and thoughts That's the confusion The voice in my head is me,

And it's talking to me It's not So let's just sit quietly for a few minutes Unless anybody's got anything to say Okay So you can have a little stretch,

A little movement And that's it for today Thank you guys Thank you Have a good weekend See some of you tonight
