This is a morning meditation.
A meditation to help you to wake up and make the most of your morning and your day ahead.
Bringing the day into a positive light and helping you to prepare your mind for what's to come.
You can listen to this meditation in a comfortable position.
You may be lying down or you may be sitting.
Choose a place where you feel relaxed and calm and you won't be interrupted.
Just take a moment now to settle into your body.
Feel the weight of your body sitting on the floor,
Resting on the chair or the bed.
Feel the muscles melting down.
A sense of calmness and relaxation.
Taking a calm,
Deep breath into your belly.
And a long,
Slow exhale.
Relaxing all the muscles,
Looking for any tension.
And bring your awareness to your breathing.
Just notice the breath coming in and out.
No force,
No change to the breath.
Just a gentle inhale and a long,
Slow exhale.
You notice a slight movement of your belly.
As you breathe in and out.
Now start to feel or notice the area around the nostrils.
The cool air coming in to your nostrils and the warm air exiting your nostrils.
Just follow it for a little bit,
In and out.
Cool and warm.
And now bring to mind the sense of fresh vitality with the inhale breath.
And with the exhale breath,
Bring to mind a feeling of release.
Release of worries,
Release of tension.
With each inhale,
You draw in vitality.
Cool,
Fresh,
Open vitality.
And with the exhale,
You release your worries,
Your tension,
Your negativity,
Your stress.
Each day is a new beginning.
This is your chance to start again.
This is your chance to make the most of what you have with you right now.
With each inhale,
You're drawing the energy of the universe inside you right into your being.
A sense of vitality,
Of pure energy filling up your body.
Moving through all of the cells,
The blood,
The organs.
A sense of fresh expansion.
Through the body with light,
Flooding the body with light.
With each exhale,
There's release,
Letting go.
Allowing the worries and concerns and tensions,
Negative thought patterns,
Stories,
Old ideas.
Can all go.
The old gray,
Low,
Empty energy releases with your exhale.
Clearing out of the body,
Clearing out of the cells,
Clearing out of your mind and your heart.
It's time to let go.
With each inhale,
Fill your body with pure energy.
And with each exhale,
Release the negative old energy that you no longer want to come into your day.
This is a new day.
This is a fresh start.
Allow your entire being to fill with positivity,
Hope.
And all positive feelings that you feel you need to move yourself through the next few hours and into your day.
Fill your whole body and bring all of these emotions,
Feelings and thoughts of positivity and hope into your heart.
Feeling that expand all the way through your body,
Right into your cells.
Take a few moments to tell yourself anything you need to hear to help you to move forward into the rest of the day.
We'll finish with one long open mouthed exhale.
So exhale all your air now.
And then start to fill up your belly with an inhale.
Fill it up as deeply as you can.
Even more.
And then open your mouth and exhale.
And then when you're ready,
Just bringing gentle movement into your body.
Perhaps roll your shoulders,
Wiggle your toes.
Take some time for yourself.
And then gently start to crack open your eyes.
