Margaret Joanne Schwartz

M.J. Schwartz is a mindfulness teacher, yoga instructor, coach, and lifelong student of the imperfect art of being human. She has practiced mindfulness for more than three decades and brings a warm, down-to-earth approach to meditation, yoga, and personal growth. A recovering perfectionist and lifelong people-pleaser, M.J. understands how exhausting it can be to feel that you’re never quite enough. Her work helps people soften perfectionism, quiet the inner critic, and develop a kinder, more compassionate relationship with themselves. M.J. is the founder of Studio 138 Healing Center, a family-focused healing space offering yoga, mindfulness, meditation, coaching, and programs for children, parents, and adults. She also creates content through her “Imperfect People” project, exploring what it means to live a meaningful life beyond hustle culture, social media, and external measures of worth. Her teaching draws from mindfulness, yoga, intuitive eating, self-compassion, and decades of lived experience. She believes mindfulness isn't about becoming perfectly calm or fixing yourself—it’s about learning to meet your actual life with greater presence, curiosity, and kindness. Whether you're navigating perfectionism, parenting, life transitions, or simply trying to slow down and breathe, M.J. invites you to practice exactly where you are. You don't have to become a different person to find peace. You can begin right here, as you are.
