Using a combination of relaxation and visualisation, you are guided in the creation of a new destiny and a life that you truly want to live.

Transcript

Welcome to the Mindset Reset Visualization.

Please find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.

You may either sit on the floor,

Sit in a chair,

Or lie down on the floor or on a bed.

When you are ready,

Please close your eyes.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in and hold it for a few seconds,

And then gently exhale through your mouth.

Take another deep breath and hold it,

And gently exhale again through your mouth.

Take another slow breath and hold it,

And gently release through your mouth.

Keeping your eyes closed,

I would like you to imagine yourself walking along a beautiful country laneway.

The sun is shining,

You can hear birds singing,

And you do not have a care in the world.

As you walk along the laneway,

You look around you and notice how alive everything looks.

There are hedges on either side of you along this laneway,

And the green of the leaves is vibrant in the sunshine.

There are wildflowers growing along the edge of the laneway as well.

You notice how beautiful the colours are of the flowers,

And you watch the bees drift from one flower to the next.

You see a stone stairway up ahead on the left,

And as you get near it,

You decide to walk down the stairs.

With each step you take,

You feel more and more relaxed.

You step down,

Down,

Down,

And as you do so,

You feel the firm,

Solid stone beneath your feet.

You feel safe,

And you feel relaxed.

When you reach the bottom of the stairs,

You see a stone path ahead of you,

And as you follow it,

You come to a walled garden with a gate that is partly open.

As you pull this gate towards you,

You step into a beautiful garden full of flowers and plants.

You see a water fountain in front of you,

And it creates lovely,

Tinkling music as the water flows out and reaches the basin of the fountain.

You spend a moment here,

Looking at the water as the sunlight plays on it,

And listening to the sounds that it makes.

You see a daybed in the corner of this garden.

It looks very inviting.

It is in the shade of a beautiful,

Big,

Old tree,

And you lie down on this daybed and get comfortable amongst the cushions.

As you lie there,

You notice an image appear in front of you.

It is a photograph of you,

And it shows you in an area of your life where you are not completely happy with how things are going.

You see yourself in this photograph,

And you feel sadness,

Possibly frustration,

And you know that this is something you want to change in your life.

This image,

This photograph,

Is very large in front of you.

It is the size of a poster.

Really look at yourself in this image.

What are you doing?

How are you feeling?

You know this is not how you want that part of your life to go.

You now notice a much smaller image arriving from the right,

And behind this big poster that you were looking at.

As it gets closer and closer,

You notice that it is getting to be as big as the first image you were looking at.

This new image is an image of you living the life that you want to live.

This new image is a positive one that makes you feel so good.

What is in this new image?

What does your life look like now?

How are you feeling?

What do you look like?

We are now about to switch the images from the current one that does not make you feel good,

For the new one that represents the life that you want.

When I say the word switch,

You are going to switch the new image for the old one,

So that all you see once I say switch is the new image in front of you.

So take a deep breath and hold it,

And now release.

And as you focus on the current big image that you do not want in your life,

I now ask you to switch for the new image.

Switch.

Now you see before you the life that you truly want.

This is the image that makes you happy,

That fills you with desire for a new life,

Or for a change to your life,

Or a new aspect to your life.

But the old image is strong,

And it comes back in and pushes the new image up back into the right corner.

And the new image becomes small.

You are now once again looking at the image of the life that you do not want.

It does not feel good to look at this image.

So again in a moment,

I am going to tell you to switch the old image for the new image of the life that you want.

Are you ready?

Switch.

The new image comes in but starts to move away again.

We will switch it again to make sure that it comes back in and is stronger this time.

It starts to move back.

Switch.

This time it feels a lot stronger but it starts to move back again.

Switch.

You see the new image this time and it's much stronger.

Let's try again.

Switch.

And again.

Switch.

We will try one more time.

Switch.

Now the new image of your life as you want it is there before you in full bright colour.

It feels amazing when you look at this image.

You notice something fluttering in the left corner of your vision and you realise it's the old image that had once been so strong and powerful before you but it's now faded and grey and it's floating on the wind.

As you watch it,

The wind picks it up and blows it over the wall of the garden and towards the horizon.

And as you keep watching that old image of your life,

It blows away and is gone forever.

Switch.

You focus once again on the new image that is now before you in full colour.

You stand up and you step towards this image.

And with a smile on your face,

You step into the image you see before you.

You are now in that new life,

Living things the way you choose.

Look around you.

What do you see?

Really imagine everything before you and around you and imagine how good it feels to be in this new life that you have chosen and created for yourself.

As you step back out of the image and into the garden,

Know that you can visit this image whenever you need to.

As you start to prepare to leave the garden,

Know that this garden is a garden just for you.

It is your safe space.

It is a place you can return to whenever you feel the need,

Whenever you feel anxious or worried about something,

Whenever you feel you need a break,

Or you want to revisit your vision of the life you are creating for yourself.

Just take a deep breath,

Close your eyes and imagine yourself walking back down those stone stairs,

Along the stone path,

Through the gate and into your beautiful sanctuary.

Take one more look around you,

Knowing that you can return here whenever you want,

And now walk towards the gate.

As you walk through the gate,

You can decide to close it or to leave it open.

It's your choice.

As you walk back up the stone path and towards the stone stairs,

You feel an incredible lightness.

You know that you are in charge of your life,

Of your destiny,

And you get to create the life that you choose.

We are now going to climb up the stairs,

And I will count with you as we go up each step to the top.

So now place your foot on the first stone step,

One.

You're now climbing up onto the next step,

Two.

You move forward onto the next step,

Three.

And now take another step as you feel so light and wonderful,

Four.

As you take another step,

You feel amazing,

Five.

You feel energy coming into your body,

Six.

You feel relaxed and happy knowing that your future is secure,

Seven.

And as you take the last few steps,

Eight.

The smile comes onto your face,

Nine.

As you know that everything is as it should be,

And everything will be okay,

Ten.

You are now back on the country lane,

And you start to walk back up this laneway,

Along past the hedges and the wildflowers,

Listening to the birds as they sing.

You feel the sun shining down on you and warming your back.

Please take one more deep breath in,

Hold it,

And release.

And when you are ready,

You may open your eyes.
