So I'd like us to move into a practice now,
Maybe a little practice of accepting change or surfing the waves of change Right choosing a comfortable seat you might be sitting in a chair or on a cushion Whatever is suitable for you putting your hands on your knees or in your lap and Keeping your back nice and straight.
It just helps to for us to breathe better back nice and straight It's just dropping the chin down and You can close your eyes Or you leave them open.
It's up to you doesn't matter.
But just if you're leaving your eyes open,
Please don't look around And we begin with three beautiful deep breaths Let's breathe in through the nose breathing in and Release release what doesn't serve you Breathing in and accepting change And breathing out the nose fixed mindsets Breathing in curiosity And then out the mouth just sigh the breath very slowly Fantastic well done keeping your eyes down and just observe a very still breath a very calm breath Our bodies may have gone through change as well connecting your breath and your body Where do you feel your breath the most is it in the abdomen or in the chest or at the nostrils?
Just finding where you feel your breath If you're breathing through your nostrils we can notice that my nostrils are feeding a little block today Which was different from yesterday?
I've experienced change Our feelings our thoughts our emotions are constantly changing day by day Our day The winds of change can cause waves of change too that can knock us over or we can surf those waves We can navigate our way through the change.
We can hoist our sails and keep going forward our focus determines our reality Settling your mind now just on calming the ocean If the waves of change are really massive we can calm them by just approaching this change with peace So much of what is going on is really our perception of what is happening It's 90% of how we react and 10% of what is happening So we can calm those waves Yes the waves are there but they don't have to be so big We can still get through this we can sail on through this Calming the mind with a smooth breath Inhaling and exhaling The ocean of our mind settles and as it settles and we move forward to a brave new world We can also see clearly through a calm mind If we were to dive into the ocean or look down deeply we would see so many things With clarity and vision we move forward in a state of calm and acceptance Feeling the breath in the body And just contemplate how this body has changed Imagine the time that you were born What an incredible change coming out of your mother's body into the world Experiencing that enormous change Growing up being a toddler Going to school another massive change Being away from mom and dad and seeing them later Moving from different grades experiencing change constantly Changes in our body changes in our mind and our thoughts Nothing was really fixed Eventually we left home we found our own place that was a big change Our career began Maybe we started a family and maybe through our family we started a family And maybe through our life we've been through such tremendous changes Some positive and some seemingly negative But out of all the traumatic changes we've been through we are still here We've been resilient and we've overcome We are pioneers of change we know this Just connecting with your body now and feeling that legacy of change within you All your cells have changed every seven to ten years your entire body is regenerated There is nothing about us that remains we are constantly changing like a river From moment to moment So we can choose which direction we want to change in and we can navigate through our focus And mindful living So So The way we feel now about change is what we can take with us into the world and encourage others to embrace the change to navigate the change to pioneer the change Perhaps it's one of the kindest things we can do Dropping your chin and let's take in another three beautiful breaths Filling the lungs breathing in through the nose And out through the nose Calming the ocean of the mind let's breathe in again And exhale And last one breathing in through the nose And sigh it out through the mouth Stopping before you open your eyes just to notice how you feel now Have you experienced the change from when you logged on?
So we can control this change within us how we feel How we react how we respond Slowly lifting your chin and opening your eyes Great well done
