Welcome to this meditation.
This meditation will help you to overcome and transcend any anxiety you may pop up in your life or maybe with you presently now.
Find yourself a calm spot where you can sit and get comfortable.
Sit with your back up straight and your legs firmly on the ground.
You can raise your arms above your head and take a deep breath in.
As you slowly breathe out,
Let your arms go down either side of your body and place your hands on top of your legs.
Just invite your body to relax every time you breathe out.
So we breathe in calm and we breathe out relaxed.
Notice how the body just naturally relaxes.
You don't have to force it.
It knows exactly how to do it.
Just like the breathing,
Your body knows exactly how to breathe.
You don't have to change it.
You don't have to take control of it.
You just have to allow it to happen and become aware of it.
Let's take a deep breath in now and we hold it and then we breathe out slowly.
Just get rid of any pockets of tension that may be in your body.
This helps us to connect the mind and the body together so they are working congruently as one.
In this moment all is well.
You have everything you need.
There is nothing to do but invite your body to relax and join you in this little adventure we are going to go on.
Let's go for a walk.
Imagine you are following a trail surrounded by lush green grass reaching up to your knees.
The ground beneath is slightly wet.
It had just drizzled earlier.
You stretch out your hands and you feel the grass.
It's tall and long and the ends are brittle and soft.
All around you is an ocean of green with flowers scattered all around,
Different colours,
Nice and bright and really vivid.
Up ahead there are some trees of all different shapes and sizes.
You continue to walk towards the trees.
There are white fluffy clouds breaking up the blue sky.
Every now and again the sun disappears behind a cloud and you can feel the difference in temperature on your skin.
You just stop and take a moment to capture all this immense beauty.
You look around and then slowly carry on walking.
As you breathe in the air you can smell the freshness of nature.
You start to feel rejuvenated as you take in nature's energy.
It's our life force.
There's a gentle wind breeze blowing through your hair.
As it blows harder you become lighter.
As it blows away the thoughts of fear about tomorrow.
And now you continue walking.
Just as you get closer to the trees you hear a stream.
It starts to get slightly louder.
Beside you there is a group of hares running through the grass as they play.
Ahead of you is a stone underneath a beautiful oak tree.
You sit on the stone and observe the stream.
You notice how the water is held by the banks and the bed of the river.

The water doesn't worry how it continues,
It just flows.
You notice some leaves and bits of twig floating by.

Recognise how your thoughts,
Feelings are very similar to these leaves,
The way they just appear and then move on,
They continue with the flow.
Just like your feelings appear and then disappear again.
Just like your thoughts appearing and then disappearing.
While we are sat here comfortable,
Let's do a few affirmations together.
Repeat them after me in your mind and spread the feeling throughout your body and repeat them several times.
At this moment I choose to release the past and look forward to the good that awaits me in the future.
With each new breath I am learning to relax and let go.
With each moment I am learning that it is safe for me to heal and grow.
At this moment I choose to feel calm and peaceful,
Everything is unfolding as it should.
Recognise the gift in this moment and how you are feeling more confident,
Less worried about the future.
Bring this feeling back with you now as we stand up from the rock and start making our way back through the fields.
Imagine now moving from this wonderful place to your present surroundings.
Now gently open your eyes,
Look around you in the room,
Shake out your arms and wiggle your fingers a little.
Now enjoy this feeling with a smile on your face and notice how your body lifts when you have this spirit of confidence and everything is going to be ok and this calm and peaceful outlook on life.
