This is Steve Burgess from Hypnotherapy For All.
Thank you for choosing this recording.
I hope you enjoy listening to it and you find the visualisations,
Suggestions or affirmations helpful in your quest to feel good.
Now,
Before you play the recording,
Make sure you won't be disturbed for the next little while.
Turn off your phone and find somewhere comfortable to sit or lay with your eyes closed.
Obviously,
Do not play the recording whilst you are doing anything that requires concentration,
For example driving or operating machinery.
If you have a history of psychiatric illness,
Before you listen,
Check with your doctor that it is ok for you to do so.
It is just a pleasant state of relaxation.
So,
If you need to come back to full awareness or respond to anything happening around you before the recording is finished,
Simply count yourself up in your mind from 1 to 10 and open your eyes.
You know that the subconscious mind and your subconscious mind is incredibly powerful and the aim of this recording is to help you to use the power of your subconscious mind to become more calm and more confident and just stronger in yourself on a day-to-day basis.
So,
Whilst you are listening to my voice,
You can either allow your mind to drift off,
You can focus on my voice,
But all the time your subconscious mind is absorbing very powerful suggestions and instructions which are really good for you.
So,
You may just like to begin by allowing your eyes to close down,
Providing it is safe to do so and just feel yourself going inwards into that inner space,
The space inside you which is calm.
There is always a sense of peace and ease.
So,
There are many ways to go into trance and one way is just to feel yourself letting go of the outside world,
Letting go of background sounds and noises,
Feeling yourself just comfortably sitting or laying,
Feeling your energies going inwards and letting go of the outside world.
Yes,
Your mind may still be a little bit busy right now and that's okay.
As you continue to relax,
You may find that your thoughts begin to slow down.
Perhaps some of the busyness in the mind can just begin to wind down,
Wind down as you allow yourself to relax now.
You may like to imagine a wave of relaxation just flowing down through your body,
Loosening muscles as this wave of relaxation moves down through your body.
If you like,
You can even imagine a colour of relaxation,
A colour that just flows down through all the muscles,
All the tissues,
All the joints,
All the organs of your body.
This colour of relaxation just soothes its way down and down and down.
Perhaps you can imagine muscles in your forehead and face and jaw just becoming loose and smooth and relaxed.
Rest your eyes,
Imagine your eyelids feeling comfortably heavy and relaxed.
Perhaps you can even imagine that your eyelids feel so relaxed that the little tiny muscles in your eyelids no longer work.
Imagine the wave or the colour of relaxation flows down through the back of your neck and shoulders,
Down your back and spine.
Just running down through your arms,
Allow your arms to feel loose and limp and relaxed.
And then just breathing relaxation down through your chest into your stomach.
Just become aware of the rhythm of your breathing,
The gentle rising and falling of your breath.
Almost as though you're just focusing all of your awareness on your breathing and the gentle rising and falling of your breath.
And then all the muscles running down through your legs.
Imagine the wave of relaxation or the colour of relaxation just flowing down through your legs,
Right to the tips of your toes.
And just feel your body softening,
Easing,
Relaxing.
Just giving yourself permission to relax.
As you continue relaxing your inner mind,
The subconscious part of your mind just becomes so receptive to what I'm saying.
That all of the beneficial suggestions and instructions that I'm going to be giving you now for your own well-being will just sink so deeply into the subconscious part of your mind.
And are able to create a deep and lasting impression there.
These very powerful and beneficial suggestions and instructions for your own well-being exercise a greater and greater influence over the way you think,
Over the way you feel and over the way you behave.
You may find positive changes just taking place all by themselves during the coming days,
Weeks,
Months and years now.
So you could begin to find now that every day you become physically stronger and fitter.
You may notice that your sleep patterns improve.
You can sleep deeper and deeper every night.
And as a result,
Each day when you awake,
You become more alert.
And you can feel more wide awake and more energetic.
Every day now you can become so deeply interested in whatever you are doing.
So deeply interested in whatever is going on that your mind becomes much calmer and more focused.
And you can feel much more at peace and more comfortable in yourself.
Every day now your nerves become stronger and steadier.
Your mind becomes stronger and clearer,
More composed,
More placid,
More tranquil.
And you can notice as each day passes that you feel a deeper feeling of serenity in your body and mind.
Just continue relaxing for me.
Enjoying and allowing your subconscious to enjoy absorbing all of these beneficial suggestions and instructions.
You can drift as deep as you like into trance,
As deep as you like into relaxation.
You may notice that each day now that you are able to think more clearly and concentrate more easily.
Your memory may even improve and you can now see things in their true perspective.
Thinking more clearly and seeing things as they really are in a calm,
Measured and balanced way.
Every day now you become emotionally much calmer,
Much more settled,
Much more relaxed.
And you can feel a greater feeling of personal well-being.
A greater feeling of personal safety and security than you have felt for a long,
Long time.
Perhaps you can notice and begin to notice a feeling of freedom that flows through you because you are free and you are safe.
Every day now you become and you remain more and more completely relaxed.
Mentally,
Physically and emotionally.
And as you become and as you now remain more relaxed each day,
So you develop much more confidence in yourself.
Much more confidence in your ability to do not only what you have to do each day,
But much more confidence in your ability to do whatever you ought to be able to do.
With an inner knowing that whatever you choose to do,
You can do it.
Because of this every day you can feel more and more independent.
More able to stick up for yourself,
To stand upon your own feet,
To hold your own with continual strength and courage.
You may notice that you now stand proud with firmness and flexibility.
Possessing an inner strength that sees you overcome all challenges in your life as they arise.
So you can feel calm now and confidence and this calmness and confidence is going to grow and grow each day to do the things you want to do,
To do the things you need to do.
The situations in life that used to bother you,
Now they just calm you,
Now they just relax you.
And the more that things used to bother you,
The more they now calm you,
The more they now relax you.
Notice how good you are feeling inside now,
Notice how calm you feel inside.
Notice with each and every breath your chest feels free,
Comfortable.
You can relax more and more,
Just relaxing deeper and deeper whilst your subconscious mind enjoys absorbing all of the beneficial suggestions that I'm giving you.
You're taking control of your mind,
Body and emotions,
You're going to feel better and better in yourself.
Feeling calm,
Confident and relaxed and this calmness,
This confidence is growing and spreading through and around your body.
And as you continue to relax,
The things in life that used to bother you,
Now they just calm you,
Now they just relax you.
And life is turning out to be easier than you thought possible.
You are safe.
Just run a movie in your mind now of how you'd like to be.
See yourself in a variety of situations,
At home,
At work,
Out socially,
Exactly as you would want to be,
As if a miracle has occurred and you become the ideal you.
Just run this movie in your mind for a few moments as I remain silent now.
Be aware of how good this feels.
As you run that movie in your mind,
You're creating your own future now,
Seeing yourself as you want to be.
Perhaps as you're seeing yourself as you really would love to be,
You can get some good feelings,
Let these feelings flow through your body.
And if you're able to feel a feeling of strength or confidence or happiness,
Positivity,
Just hold a thumb and finger together on one of your hands.
Just touch the thumb and first finger together on one of your hands and just hold that thumb and finger touching together,
Gently squeeze it.
As you feel these good feelings,
As you're running this positive movie in your mind.
This is anchoring these good feelings into your body.
Now you can just open the thumb and finger.
From this time on,
Whenever you wish to enjoy this feeling of strength,
Calmness,
Confidence,
All you have to do,
Wherever you are,
Is just squeeze that thumb and finger together.
You'll find that the good feelings will be released into your body and mind.
The more that you play this recording,
The more that you do that visualization of imagining yourself how you would really love to be,
The more powerful and the stronger those feelings become.
Each time you anchor those feelings into that thumb and finger,
You'll find that the feelings will be stronger and stronger.
Just for now,
Just let the finger and thumb open and relax,
Allow yourself to continue relaxing.
Notice how relaxed you feel,
Notice how good you feel.
And you can feel confident now to do the things you want to do.
More confident than you felt in a long time.
And this confidence is growing and growing each day.

The effects of these suggestions will be reinforced in your dreams,

And situations that used to bother you,
Why now they just calm you.
Now they just relax you.
And the more that things used to bother you,
The more they now just calm you.
The more they now relax you.
You're the calm one,
The confident one,
The positive thinker,
The one brimming with confidence.
Any situation,
Any job,
Anywhere,
Anytime you can do it.
You feel good,
You feel calm,
You feel relaxed.
And you're very special.
And you can feel confident now to do the things you want to do.
And this confidence grows tonight in your sleep,
In your dreams.
Because you are safe.
And each day as you become increasingly more able to let go and relax as you're now doing.
So you can feel a sense of calmness and peacefulness growing within you.
And this growing feeling of inner calmness and quiet confidence is sufficient to reassure you that as each day passes.
You are more and more becoming the person you'd like to be.
The ideal you.
And you can notice that you breathe easily now,
Each day in a relaxed way.
You can take things more and more in your stride.
You can feel comfortable in yourself,
In who you are.
Remind yourself that you are what you were created to be,

You have every right to be here and to feel joy in your life now.
And as each day passes,
You become happier,
Healthier.
And more and more at ease in yourself.
You are safe.
Day by day,
In every way,
You're getting better and better.
And because all these things happen now and they happen just naturally and easily for you.
You can feel much happier.
You can feel much more contented.
Feel much more cheerful.
Feel much more optimistic.
Feel much more positive in every way.
I'd like you now just to enjoy a few moments of silence during which all of these true ideas and beneficial concepts make a deep and lasting impression upon your subconscious mind.

In a few moments,
I'm going to ask you to begin to come back to full awareness.
Unless,
Of course,
You prefer to just continue resting in this relaxed way for a little longer and bring yourself back to full awareness whenever you feel ready.
If that's the case,
You can just stop this recording now.
Just let my voice go with you and come back to full awareness in a little while when you feel ready to do so.
Otherwise,
I'm going to ask you just to come back slowly and gently now to full awareness.
I'm going to just count up to ten.
And with each number,
I ask you to imagine that you're coming back little by little to full awareness on the count of ten.
So when you're ready now,
Just come back gently and slowly from one.
Slowly up to two,
Just feel yourself easily and gently.
Becoming more and more aware up to three.
Slowly up to four.
Gently up to five.
More and more aware to six.
All the way to seven.
Gently coming back to eight.
Letting yourself feel your body now.
Perhaps start feeling and moving your fingers or some parts of your body all the way back to nine.
And then when you're ready now,
Ten.
Take some nice,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
Have a good stretch.
Open your eyes.
Come all the way back and feel good now.
