The idea is to be as imaginative as possible with your visualizations as the subconscious (which is the seat of the imagination) can then work on the images to actualize the changes in your physical body. Hello,

This is Steve Burgess from Hypnotherapy for All.

Thank you for choosing this recording.

I hope you enjoy listening to it and you find the visualisations,

Suggestions or affirmations helpful in your quest to feel good.

Now,

Before you play the recording,

Make sure you won't be disturbed for the next little while.

Turn off your phone and find somewhere comfortable to sit or lay with your eyes closed.

Obviously,

Do not play the recording whilst you are doing anything that requires concentration,

For example driving or operating machinery.

If you have a history of psychiatric illness,

Before you listen,

Check with your doctor that it is okay for you to do so.

It is just a pleasant state of relaxation.

So,

If you need to come back to full awareness or respond to anything happening around you before the recording is finished,

Simply count yourself up in your mind from 1 to 10 and open your eyes.

The whole aim of this session is to allow your mind to create a healing process in your body.

The first part of this process is just allowing your body to begin to relax,

Which is a light state of inner focus,

Where you can allow your mind to feel calmer and perhaps your body to feel more and more relaxed.

So,

When you are ready,

You may just like to allow your eyes to close down and begin the process of tuning out the outside world and tuning into your inner world.

I am not sure for the purposes of this session whether you need to just allow yourself to be in a light state of relaxation or whether a medium state may be better for you.

I don't even know if you could experience a very deep state right now.

Yet,

Undoubtedly,

Your subconscious mind has already begun the process,

Creating the best conditions for you to get the most out of this healing.

We all have the ability to relax.

We all have the ability to relax completely,

Provided we give the framework for relaxation.

You can sit or lay comfortably in a quiet place with your eyes closed,

And the process of relaxation can just take place all by itself.

You may like to begin by just focusing on your breathing.

Just become aware of the gentle rhythm of your breath.

You don't have to control your breathing in any way.

Just focus your mind on the rising and falling of your breath.

And you may find,

As you continue to relax,

That at some stage your breathing will be slowing down all by itself.

And I'm just going to ask you to think about some of the muscles in your body relaxing.

And as you think about muscles in your body relaxing,

They can relax.

And as they relax,

As you relax,

They just continue drifting and floating into relaxation.

So firstly,

Just imagine as though a wave of relaxation is flowing down through your body.

Imagine you can feel some of the muscles in your forehead and face and jaw just going loose and smooth and relaxed.

Rest your eyes.

Imagine your eyelids feeling comfortably heavy and relaxed now.

And just allow a wave of relaxation to flow down into the back of your neck and shoulders.

Imagine a weight is being lifted off from your shoulders now.

And you can feel calmer now and more relaxed.

And just allow the relaxation to move down your back,

Down your spine,

Down and down and down to the lower part of your back.

Just imagine your arms feeling comfortably heavy and relaxed.

As all the muscles running down from your shoulders,

Down through your elbows,

Down to your wrists.

Let your arms feel loose and limp and relaxed.

And just breathing relaxation down through your chest,

Down into your stomach.

And again,

Just become aware of the rhythm of your breathing.

Perhaps you may notice that your breathing has changed in this little while that you've been relaxing.

And just let relaxation move down through your legs,

From your hips,

Down through your knees and ankles,

Along the soles of your feet,

Right to the tips of your toes.

And it may be as we continue going through this session,

You can allow yourself to relax more and more deeply.

Whilst you're resting in this very pleasant way,

I'm going to ask you to use your imagination to visualize your body healing in different ways.

I'd like you to be as imaginative as you can be.

So just imagine now that you are looking down at yourself as you rest here in this position,

Almost as though you had been able to come outside of yourself and look down at yourself as you rest here.

And in particular,

I'd like you to imagine that you are looking at the parts of your body or the parts of your body that contain sickness or illness.

Looking down at the part or parts of your body that need healing.

And imagine too that it's as though you have x-ray vision,

That you can see through your body.

And you can see all the internal workings in a very imaginative way of that part of your body that needs healing.

So you can see through the outer covering of skin.

And you can see the internal workings of your body.

Now imagine this in any way that you wish.

You may see it like a Meccano set or a plumbing network.

Any way you wish,

But be as imaginative as you can.

And as you look at that part of your body that needs healing,

Needs to be well.

Imagine you can see the internal workings of your body.

And imagine that you can see what is wrong.

Perhaps some pipes are blocked or some pulleys are broken.

Maybe some bricks have fallen out of a wall in some way.

Be as imaginative as you can.

As you know what is actually wrong with that part of your body.

And imagine you can picture what is wrong in an imaginary way.

As you look through your skin at your body.

And as you continue to look at that part of your body,

I'd like you to imagine now that you can see changes,

Positive changes taking place there.

Imagine you can see healing processes at work as it is happening right now.

And so you can see that part of your body getting healthier,

Getting cleaner,

Getting clearer from infection,

Becoming stronger perhaps and more supple.

So just visualise that entire area becoming whole and healthy and strong.

Maybe the bricks are being put back in the wall.

Maybe pipes are being unblocked.

Maybe new wiring is being put into that part of your body.

Just use your imagination as much as you can.

There's nothing wrong or right about this.

Just go with whatever comes into your imagination.

See in an imaginative way.

Visualise in your mind's eye,

The healing process taking place right now.

So just keep focusing on that healing process.

Seeing the healing taking place.

Using your imagination.

Because as you visualise these things happening,

So they are happening in reality.

Your body is getting better.

It is getting healthier.

It is getting cleaner and stronger right now,

Just as you imagine it.

So see it getting better.

Feel it getting better.

And imagine as you're doing this,

That the colour of healing begins to flow through into that part of your body.

You can perhaps imagine the colour of illness,

The colour of sickness,

The colour of disease is shrinking away and changing.

And as the negative colour just dissolves away,

Like the mist in the early morning sun,

Just imagine the colour of healing starting to flow through that part of your body.

And it starts to soothe its way all the way through the muscles,

The tissues,

Of your body.

Every molecule,

Every atom of that part of your body,

Filling with this colour of healing.

Just visualise that as best you can now.

And as you concentrate on this healing process,

Imagine you can feel your body's natural healing forces rallying to that part of your body.

Allow yourself to feel energy starting to migrate to that area of your body.

Almost as though that area has become magnetic and is attracting positive healing energy to itself.

And all this positive healing energy is beginning to concentrate itself in that area of your body.

Feel it getting energised.

Imagine you can see that colour of healing flowing through all of the tissues,

Every molecule,

Every atom,

Filling with a healing colour.

And imagine you can feel your body's natural energies,

Healing energies,

Flowing to that part of your body.

I don't know whether for you this healing energy would be best bringing warmth or coolness to that part of your body.

Perhaps you can imagine a warmth or a coolness,

Whichever is best for you,

Just flowing there with this healing energy.

And as you continue to allow this process to take place,

Perhaps you can begin to breathe a little deeper.

And imagine that each deep breath that you take is reaching right to that spot.

Each breath that you take brings more healing energy to that part of your body.

So imagine breathing in healing energy.

And this just flows to that part of your body.

So now you have a healing energy both from inside of yourself and from outside of yourself.

And all of it is directed to that part of your body that needs healing right now.

And you are healing.

You can see it.

You can feel it.

And so you know you are getting better and better.

Your body is becoming healthier and stronger.

You are getting healthier and stronger.

Right now as you concentrate upon it.

And imagine that somewhere in your mind is a control room.

We call this the control room of your mind.

And this control room controls every part of your body and all of the processes in your body.

Again,

Just be very imaginative.

Imagine that you go into this control room in your mind.

And you see in the control room all manner of artifacts there.

All of which are to do with controlling all of the physical aspects of your body.

Maybe there are some computer screens in there.

Some keyboards.

Maybe there are some lights or switches.

Pulleys.

Maybe there are some wires.

Just imagine as you go into the control room that you go to the part of the control room that controls that part of your body that has been sick or ill.

Maybe it's a computer screen that you go to.

Imagine that you type in some new instructions into that computer as though you are reprogramming it with wellness and healing.

Imagine as you do this that you put a new program of healing in.

And then you press the enter button on the keyboard.

And that program begins to work.

Immediately a new program of well-being and healing into that part of your body.

Or perhaps there is something else you need to do.

Maybe some wires have become frayed or snapped and you need to rewire.

So the wires going from the control room down to the part of your body that needs healing.

You can put some new wires in if you like.

Or maybe there are some switches that need to be turned on or switches that need to be switched off.

Perhaps there are some light bulbs which represent well-being which have given out and they need to be changed with new light bulbs.

Just use your imagination to be in this control room in your mind and create a healing process that comes from the control room in your mind down into that part of your body that needs healing.

And then last of all I'm just going to ask you to give yourself some positive affirmations.

Just think to yourself my body is healing.

My body is healing right now.

My mind is healing my body.

I am getting better and better now.

Day by day in every way I get better and better.

This healing process is going to continue energizing and healing all by itself now.

The next time that you play this recording you will repeat and renew this process.

So you can be aware of continuing improvements at all times.

And I don't know just how soon you'll be feeling much better in yourself now.

But I do know that your mind is the most powerful thing.

Your mind is healing your body now.

So just finish by just running a movie in your mind of how you want to be.

Just look ahead over the next little while and see yourself either completely healed or see yourself much much much better living in the world in a variety of situations.

See yourself at home perhaps at work or out socially with that part of your body completely healed.

And as you run this movie in your mind imagine a miracle has happened.

We do know that miracles can happen.

Your mind has healed your body.

And be aware of how good this feels.

So each time that you play this recording this healing will be re-energized.

You'll find that the strength of the healing grows and grows and grows.

So let's just thank your subconscious mind for creating this healing process.

Then in a little while it's going to be time to start coming back to today and tomorrow and all the other good days just around the corner.

However if you wish to just continue relaxing in this way for a while longer or even if you wish to just drift off and sleep and come back to full awareness a little later on when you're ready just turn this recording off now.

Otherwise in a few moments I'm just going to start counting up to 10.

With each number come back little by little to full awareness on the count of 10.

And when you come back to full awareness you can be very aware of the work of this positive healing energy in your body.

Perhaps you'll already feel an improvement in your condition.

So on the count of 10 you can come back feeling very calm,

Relaxed and confident that this healing process continues until there is no longer a need for it to continue.

So just slowly and gently now begin to come back from 1 to 2 and just gently coming up to 3 and perhaps feeling more and more aware,

More and more alert.

Gently up to 4.

All the way back to 5 and allowing my voice to go with you now to 6.

Slowly up to 7.

Becoming more and more alert to 8.

Perhaps just moving your body around gently.

Back to 9.

And all the way back to 10.

Take some nice slow deep breaths.

Have a good stretch.

Open your eyes.

Come all the way back and feel good now.

A soothing body scan accompanied by deep relaxation. Not sure if I was in trance, but definitely in a state of disconnection. I'm terrible at visualization, but these were within my range of imagination. Overall, a positive experience.
