Hey there,
I'm Steph Perjamas and I welcome you to this meditation.
Today's meditation is all about liking yourself more completely,
Deeper than you did before you began this meditation.
So when you're ready,
Go ahead and get comfortable in whatever position you like to use for your meditations.
And then go ahead and close your eyes and just let your breath begin to guide you.
Breathing in through your nose,
Exhaling through your nose and just letting any stress dissolve with your exhaling breath and your body relax and your mind begin to focus.
Feels really good to just close your eyes and be present in this moment.
Just breathing in,
Exhaling out.
And now go ahead and take a couple rounds of breath.
Breathing in through your nose to the count of five and then exhaling through your nose to the count of five.
Let's go ahead and do a couple cycles of that breath now.
Very well.
Now I'd like you to imagine that you're ready to take this journey,
This journey of deeply liking and appreciating who you are right now in this moment and who you're becoming as you experience life and make decisions about the path that's right for you.
Very well.
Now it's time to begin the journey of truly and deeply liking and accepting yourself for who you are right now in this moment and who you are becoming as you continue to discover yourself.
Letting your breath just return to your natural gentle breathing.
I'd like you to imagine that there is a light within you and this light is wherever you know it best represents your self appreciation and liking and loving who you are and throughout this meditation you'll notice that this light begins to grow and expand within you and it flows all around you and extends out to anyone who comes into your environment and you'll notice this light has a color that represents appreciation and self love and confidence and it feels warm and uplifting,
Energizing and motivating.
It's an inner knowing of you are incredible regardless of what anyone else thinks,
What anyone else believes.
You know that this light represents believing in yourself with unwavering confidence and the more you do this meditation the more you meet yourself in this place.
Your unwavering conviction and self belief just continues to grow and expand and you notice that the more confidence you have the more you believe in yourself the less it matters what anyone else thinks about you because you know your worth.
You know your value.
You know that you are capable and incredible and you nourish that side of yourself and you let go of any negative statements or thoughts or beliefs that anyone else tries to put on you and any time your own mind begins to think thoughts that bring you down or encourage self-doubt you stop them and you remind yourself that you are likable,
You are lovable,
You are fun and playful and you offer the world incredible things and sometimes incredible things can show up in simple ways and sometimes they show up in big ways and other times in small ways and they all have value.
Now as you continue to breathe and stay present and imagine this light within you growing and expanding I want you to think of what inspires you.
When do you know that you are lovable just because you are you?
Think of any of the moments in your life when you knew this was true.
When you knew with absolute conviction that you were lovable and likable just because you're you and maybe you have to imagine a time when this happened.
Imagine when you are a baby or a child or moments when perhaps other people saw this in you and you were lost in thought so you may not have noticed it about yourself.
Imagine what it would be like to have all of your days with the deep knowing and understanding that you are likable and you are lovable just as you are.
That you're enough just being you.
Now maybe there are some days when you're really hard on yourself when those days are filled with self-doubt and holding yourself back.
Stopping yourself from being you,
From showing the world who you are,
From showing yourself who you are.
Maybe there's times and you put on a mask that protects yourself and you feel safe behind this wall that keeps others out and you doubt yourself and your confidence is low.
Sometimes it feels non-existent.
You question if you're likable or if you're lovable.
If anyone knew you would they really like you?
And maybe you have days when your self-talk is so toxic it breaks your own heart.
You almost feel numb to the negative statements you say about yourself.
Holding yourself back,
Doubting yourself to your core.
Now on those days maybe there's many days like that in a year and maybe there's only a couple.
I want you to ask yourself now what is it costing you to not like you?
What is it costing you to doubt yourself so deeply and to hold yourself back?
What is the cost,
The price to not seeing your value?
To breaking yourself down,
To beating yourself up verbally?
What are you missing out on?
What experiences are you preventing yourself from having?
And it can be as simple as not wearing the shirt that you really want to wear or traveling the world or having a legendary love.
Just think about it for a moment.
Take your time and really discover what cost is not liking yourself.
And really discover what is the price,
What is the cost that you are paying by not liking yourself?
Is not liking yourself and doubting yourself and holding yourself back worth that price?
Is it worth the price of falsely believing that you're pleasing other people?
That you're making other people happy when you know deep inside that that is not your responsibility or within your control?
You are not someone who controls other people's happiness.
However,
You do control your own happiness.
So what will you do about that?
Now I want you to imagine that you make a decision today.
You tell yourself from this day forward,
I will nourish myself.
I will like myself and I will believe in myself regardless of what anyone else says.
I know that I can do what's on my heart and what's on my mind.
That I can step out from hiding and I can let myself shine.
And you notice how deeply you like and appreciate yourself.
Notice what that would feel like inside your body,
Inside your mind,
Inside your heart when liking yourself matches how your soul feels about you.
Because it's important to know that your soul sees you,
All of you and only has love for you and wants you to experience that love for yourself completely and deeply.
This is when incredible things happen for you.
When you know that you can set out to accomplish what's ever on your heart even if no one else seems to believe in you or other people say negative things and you stop yourself from saying negative things about yourself and from this day forward you start to focus on all the positives about you.
Sure you can have moments where you notice where you want to grow and you allow yourself to grow and expand.
However it's time to let go of any destructive criticism that has been holding you back.
You just imagine what a day like that would be,
What a life like that would be for you if you really just truly liked and accepted and appreciated who you were.
Take a moment and experience that.
Create that life in your mind.
Visualize,
Imagine what it would be like.
How would you walk through your day?
What would you be doing?
What would you say?
Who would you spend your day with?
Really think about it when you like yourself completely and deeply.
Paint that picture for yourself now.
How long would that feeling last?
How would other people experience you?
And now think about all the good things about you.
Pretend if you need to.
Imagine what other people see in you that's good,
That's incredible,
That's uplifting,
That's likable,
That's lovable.
You truly know your significance and you let go of the idea that you need to be perfect,
Mistake-free,
That you avoid all risks.
Letting go of the idea that you can't handle disappointments or challenges or obstacles.
Knowing that you fully can and you're completely capable of doing what's on your heart and what's on your mind.
That you can figure out the how and you just keep taking steps forward.
That you can handle obstacles just the way you want to in a way that impacts your life positively.
And that you can make mistakes.
Mistakes are okay.
Because even when you make mistakes you're still making progress and you enjoy the journey of discovering you.
And each day you like yourself more and more you begin to praise yourself more and criticize and judge yourself less.
This is pretty incredible.
It feels really good and you see that light within you expanding and flowing around you.
So now just take a moment and let's imagine that you truly like your personality.
You like the kind of friend you are,
Kind of lover you are.
You like who you are professionally and now even imagine that you like your appearance.
You like your hair.
You like your face.
Your eyes are likable.
You like your nose and your mouth and your chin.
You like your neck and your chest and your stomach.
You like your arms,
Your wrists and your hands.
You can let go of the flaws that you see in your body and begin to just like and appreciate what your body does for you and represents for you.
You like your butt,
Your legs,
Your feet.
You like your skin.
You like your laugh,
Your voice,
The way you tell stories.
You like the way you dance,
The food that you cook,
The way that you are on this journey through life.
You like how you spend your time and who you spend your time with.
You like how you show up on a day-to-day basis.
You like the clothes you wear,
The things you say and you like what you see when you look in the mirror.
This feels really good so take it all in.
It's okay to like yourself.
It feels really good to be around someone who likes themselves.
It's inspiring to see someone who likes themselves.
So give yourself permission to be you and to like you because you're incredible and it's okay to know that.
It's okay to know that you're worthy,
That you make a difference,
That you're likable,
You're lovable and you're enough.
You can know that now.
It's safe to know you're enough and to live your life as though you like yourself.
So from this moment forward,
Make the decision that you're going to like yourself and you're going to notice what's great about you.
You're going to allow yourself to make mistakes with love instead of judgment.
You can be gentle with yourself and like who you are and you'll notice that when you like yourself that feeling lasts a long time.
It feels really good to like yourself,
To appreciate yourself.
So now just check in with that light inside you.
Notice how far it's expanded and notice how you feel inside now that you've increased your likeability through your own eyes.
Just notice what that kind of love feels like and realize that you can provide those feelings to yourself and that's pretty fantastic.
Just like you.
And when you're ready,
Go ahead and just return your focus to your breath.
Maybe you notice that you're sitting up straighter or you're stretched out taller and you can go about your day walking with confidence,
Treating people with kindness because you know that's how you treat yourself and it ripples out.
You are worthy and you are incredible and you are enough and it's okay to know that.
And when you're ready,
Go ahead and open your eyes and have the most beautiful day falling in love with who you are.
