Welcome,
And thank you for joining me for this guided meditation to soothe tired knees.
Please ensure that you are sitting somewhere safe and comfortable,
And in such a way that it is easy for you to place your hands on your knees.
Take a moment here to ground yourself by feeling the way that your chair,
The floor,
Or the ground is supporting you,
And feel free to close your eyes for all or part of this meditation.
First,
Gently rub your palms together a few times and arrange your hands so that your palms are facing one another,
Bringing them very close together but not quite touching.
As you hold your palms close together,
You may begin to feel a bit of heat between them,
Or a tingling sensation perhaps.
What you are sensing is energy,
And you may define that energy in any way that resonates for you—thermal,
Spiritual energy,
Life force energy,
Or some combination therein.
If you are not sensing anything between your palms right now,
That is perfectly okay as well.
Just know that energy is flowing,
And this energy is no more or no less beneficial,
Whether or not you can sense it there.
Take just a few moments here to simply hold your hands in this position,
Palms facing one another,
Taking a few easy breaths and relaxing your muscles as much as you can.
Now place your right palm over your right knee and your left palm over your left knee.
Your palms can either be touching your knees or hovering slightly above them,
Whichever feels best to you.
When you find the palm placement that feels best to you,
Take a few easy breaths and place your attention on the energy that is now flowing from your palms to your knees.
Allow your knees to be bathed in this soothing energy.
I'll give you a few moments here to simply enjoy this feeling.
There's nothing more that you need to be doing at this time.
Hold your palms in this position for as long as you wish,
Knowing that you can return to this meditation as often as you want.
