Hello my love,

We're going to go on a special little adventure today.

Before we do,

I'd like you to get comfortable.

Perhaps you can sit on your favourite chair,

Lie down in your bed,

Or perhaps you have a special spot that you like to sit and be still for a while.

I'll wait while you get comfy.

Now that you're ready,

You can go ahead and close your eyes gently.

We're going to take some big deep breaths now,

In through the nose and out through the mouth,

Okay?

Ready?

Breathe in and then slowly and gently out through our mouth.

And again.

Once more,

Deep breath in and then out.

Well done.

Let's start our adventure.

We're going to use our imagination today to take us on our adventure.

I want you to start by imagining that you're standing at the beginning of a path that leads through a magical forest.

Can you see the forest and the path?

Let's walk down it.

Listen to the sound your feet makes on the path.

Can you hear the wind whistling through the trees?

Perhaps there's birds singing.

The sun is shining and it feels nice and warm on your skin.

What sort of trees are in your forest?

Can you smell the fresh air and the nature around you?

As you reach the end of the path,

It opens up to a space that you can create yourself.

Perhaps it opens up to a wide open meadow or maybe you're at the ocean.

Maybe there's lots of trees,

A flowing bubbling creek or a big lake.

Take some time now to create this space in your mind.

It can look however you want it to look.

Look over to your left now.

There's a spot there for you to sit or lay down.

A cozy chair maybe or maybe a hammock to lie in.

Go over and sit or lie over there.

And while you sit or lay in your comfy special spot,

Let's focus on everything you can hear in your special place.

Now what can you feel while you're lying there in your special place?

What about anything you can smell?

And finally look around and focus on everything you can see in your special space.

This spot is your special sacred space my love.

It has been created in your mind just for you and you can come here anytime you like.

When you want to meditate,

You can close your eyes and come here.

Or when you just need some quiet time,

You can close your eyes and come here.

It is always here and always exactly how you want it to be.

It's time for us to leave now my love.

Say goodbye to your special place knowing that you can come back anytime you like.

Under slowly back down the path,

Through the forest and back to the real world where you are now.

Focus on what you can really feel now,

The bed or the chair underneath you.

What sounds can you hear?

Traffic outside maybe?

What smells are around?

When you feel ready,

You can wiggle your hands and feet.

Very very slowly,

Gently open your eyes.
