Welcome dear ones,

Thank you for joining me for this ocean waves meditation.

I would like you to get comfortable now whether that's sitting up in a chair or lying down.

When you're comfortable take a few deep breaths in through your nose filling your belly all the way with beautiful fresh oxygen and then releasing that breath slowly and gently through your mouth as if you're breathing through a straw and when you've taken those three breaths return to your normal breathing rhythm and just noticing that breath in as it breathes in the cool air and the breath out releasing the warm air noticing the flow and pattern of your breath.

Just letting go of any thoughts that pop into your mind without judgment.

Picture them like clouds scattering across the sky.

They're there and you can see them but you do not need to focus on them.

They're just passing by.

Know for just right now there is nowhere else you need to be,

Nothing else you need to be doing and nothing else that you need to be thinking about.

This is your time now.

You can just enjoy sitting and being and picture now and visualize in your mind that you have arrived on a beautiful beach and this beach can look however it appears to you in your mind.

There is no right or wrong and everyone's beach will be unique to them.

This is your beach.

Nobody else is there with you.

You have this amazing paradise all to yourself.

So really visualize this beach in your mind,

How it looks,

What the sand looks like,

What color the water is,

What plants and trees might be around,

Whether there's birds in the sky or any wildlife around and visualize what the weather is like on your beach.

Is it day or night,

Sunny or overcast or even thunderstorming.

Maybe it's sunrise,

Sunset,

Dusk or dawn.

It's whatever it looks like to you.

There's no judgment behind this visualization,

No trying to put meaning to how it looks.

It just is and visualizing how the beach feels,

The sand underneath you.

Is it wet or dry?

Is it that really white soft squeaky sand or is it coarse?

Maybe your beach is not all that sandy.

Maybe it's a pebbly beach and how the air around you feels,

Whether it's beautiful and warm because the sun is high in the sky.

Maybe it's a bit cooler because it's an evening beach.

Visualizing what you can hear,

The waves crashing on the shore,

The wind blowing through the trees,

Any birds singing and also noticing what you can smell on your beach,

The salty sea air,

Any fragrances from some flowers and plants nearby.

I'll give you a couple of minutes now to really make this visualization come to life in your mind.

Now that you have this clear image in your mind of your beautiful perfect beach,

I want you to visualize yourself wading into the water.

How does this feel?

How does the water feel upon your skin?

You're going to lay down gently in the waves and they are soft and smooth and you feel completely supported by the beautiful ocean and you're floating there gently in the vast blue water.

All of your worries just fading away with every wave that laps at your body,

One more bit of tension is released.

Breathe in time to the waves in and out,

In and out,

In and out.

And feel all that tension being released from your muscles.

Focus on how it feels to be laying there in the ocean,

How connected you feel to the water and to the earth and to the moon that controls the tides.

You are connected to all of it,

All of the energy and all of that unconditional love knowing you are completely supported.

You can take this peaceful time now to think of anything that you would like to let go of,

Any stressful situations in your life that you no longer need to be holding on to.

And this can be anything,

A bad memory,

A conflict in your relationship,

A stress at work or an emotion that is no longer serving you.

It's time to let it go.

I want you to think of this stressful situation,

Thank it for whatever lesson it has taught you and then release it with the next wave that washes over your body and watch it float away out into the vast infinite ocean.

It's no longer yours to hold on to.

Watch as it disappears beneath the waves and you can do this as many times as you need to with as many different things as you feel you need to do it with.

It's time to come back to your beach now,

Stepping out of the water and feeling the warm air drying your skin.

Know that you can come back to your beach anytime you feel you need assistance from the ocean to wash away all your tension,

Stress or anxiety.

You just have to close your eyes and bring yourself back here.

Take one more look around your peaceful paradise and then gently start to come back into your body,

Keeping your eyes closed for the moment.

Just start to feel the surface beneath you,

Take a couple of big deep breaths again to ground back into your body,

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

When you feel ready you can open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me.

I listened while on the beach in Anguilla. The visualization was enhanced by the sound of waves in the background.
