Welcome to the Milky Mama meditation created especially for you to listen to and enjoy while feeding your precious bundle of joy.
Get comfortable now whether that's in a feeding chair,
On a couch,
In bed.
When you and baby are settled and ready take three big deep breaths.
Feel your breath going all the way into your belly and coming back out.
Feel your heart slowing.
Notice how you feel as you ground yourself into this space.
How the weight of your babe against your body and in your arms feels.
And have a look at your precious child.
Notice all the little things about them.
Their tiny fluttering eyelashes,
Little chubby hands holding tight to you,
The soft downy hair on their head.
All these little details that your amazing body engineered and created and brought forth into real life.
This perfect little person that you made with your body and now you are nourishing with your body.
The birth of your baby is proof of the incredible magic and inherent knowledge that your body has.
It can create a human from mere cells.
Those eyelashes,
Hands and each individual hair all created by you.
Your body knows what to do to make a baby and now it knows what to do to feed and nourish it.
Close your eyes now mama.
Go inwards and focus on your breathing.
You don't have to force it.
Just breathe as you normally would.
In and out.
In and out.
Focus on your heart space.
That beautiful space between your breasts from where your baby feeds from right now.
Imagine a beautiful glowing light here.
As you breathe that light expands slowly like a balloon filling with air.
It grows with each breath you take.
Bathing you and your darling baby in this vibrant light of love and tenderness.
Sit in this light now.
Just you and your nurse link together as one under the protection of your glowing light of love direct from your heart space.
So so so so so so so so so so so so so so it's time to come back now gorgeous mama keep breathing and this time with each breath the light will slowly retreat back into your heart space holding with it the unconditional love and bond that you share with your child.
It will stay in your heart space for you to tap into whenever you want.
Whenever you want.
When you feel ready it's time to come back into your surroundings.
Listen to what you can hear outside.
What smells you can sense.
How you feel against the couch chair or bed and how your baby feels in your arms.
Take a moment to notice how different you feel now compared to when you first started this meditation.
Take a big deep rejuvenating breath in through your nose right down into your belly and back out through your mouth.
And when you are ready you can reopen your eyes.
Take a moment to thank yourself now lovely one.
Hold yourself with gratitude for allowing yourself this time to connect with you and your baby.
In the most natural and primal way a mother can.
And go on with your day now in peace and gratitude.
