Healing The Fractured Self

We all have left pieces of ourselves behind in traumatic experiences, or have simply just divided our attention up into many places - leaving us less powerful in the here and now. In this meditation perform a mini-soul retrieval exercise on yourself and get your whole self back.

Transcript

Greetings.

Take a deep breath in.

Fill your entire body with breath.

And with that,

The oxygen and on the oxygen,

The life force energy that rides on the breath.

Take it deeply in on your next inhale and imagine saturating every cell of your body in life.

And as you exhale,

Feel all that is opposed to life,

Opposed to your life being released and let go.

In this meditation,

We aim to bring back the fractured parts of self,

Which so often is the result of a non-cohesive reality.

So first we just tune in to the here and to the now.

And bring as much attention to your body,

Your physical body,

As you can.

Note the weight of your body seated.

You can also do this meditation lying down.

Just feel where you contact the surface.

And as you breathe,

Begin to take attention into a center point.

Somewhere inside of you that feels like the center.

It could be your heart,

It could be your belly.

Wherever feels like the center to you,

Bring attention to this part of you.

And on your next successive breaths,

Imagine on the inhale,

This center point becoming illuminated and magnetized.

Feel the light within growing from maybe nothing to a small point of light to a larger and larger ball of light at your center.

It is magnetic.

It has pull.

Begin to become aware of the field generated by this magnetic center.

Much like the earth has a magnetic core,

You too also have a magnetic center point to which you can now become attuned and aware of.

With each breath,

Feel that magnetic center becoming stronger and brighter.

Feel it begin to pull as it begins to now attract to it any fractured part of the self that are somewhere beyond your center.

Maybe your attention as it's been divvied out to all the areas and people in your life,

Projects,

Thoughts and worries.

Feel all of those parts of you magnetized back.

And now maybe even other parts of the self,

Emotional parts,

Pieces we have left at trauma points or other inflated emotional events.

Feel our magnetic core drawing these two back to us,

To the here and to the now.

Feel this activity increase as you become aware of it.

As more and more,

All the little pieces of you begin to return.

Feel the returning,

All these magnetically charged pieces flying back to center and one by one reassembling themselves as the totality of you.

With each breath,

Begin to scan the environment near and far and even your timelines to see if there are still hidden parts of you fractured and hanging out somewhere in the past,

Future or elsewhere.

These parts of us can stay behind if we feel it is important or we can project ourselves into the future if we're constantly thinking about something and worrying about it.

A sliver of our consciousness can stay there,

Thereby making us feel unwhole and powerless in this here and now.

So as these parts return,

Feel your personal power increasing as your presence increases and maybe you note that you feel a little bit larger in your being,

Your energy is bigger.

Begin to note the weight of your body against the surface again.

Notice your hands,

Your feet.

And get a gauge on how much of you has returned in just this short exercise.

Imagine you could turn on a switch that tells this faculty to continue even when your attention is elsewhere,

To continue to return the fractured parts of you.

Visualize this knob now going from manual to automatic.

As you breathe in,

Feeling more and more present in your body and in this moment.

With your next breaths,

Begin to note the more present you are,

The more you can access love.

So begin to move your attention to the heart and as you breathe,

Imagine your breath going into the heart and melting away any of the boundaries and walls that we needed around the heart before when we were not whole.

Feel the pure loving heart open as we breathe into it.

At first there may feel some tension,

Some strands holding the heart but as you breathe and swallow and extend awareness into the heart space,

Begin to feel the love moving in and through the heart and around the body enveloping you in this love.

Mmm.

Mmm.

So good.

Feel this love begin to move now from the heart.

Feel it extend to any part of your body that is in need of this love,

That is in need of healing after the fractured pieces have returned and are returning.

Feel the love seeping into the cracks and spaces.

Begin to feel this love illuminated and glowing.

Get a picture of your being in your mind's eye and maybe you note all these fractured pieces still just look like puzzle pieces that have come together,

Now sealed together by this love.

And you look a bit like this Chinese pottery that has been put back together as its highest form of art.

Begin to allow yourself to feel love and appreciation for all that you have endured,

All that you have been through and the wisdom of the fracturing in your evolutionary journey.

Now it is time to come back to the self to find wholeness again.

And as you breathe into the here and now,

Feel yourself saying yes to all of you,

To all of this,

Every single piece of you.

Let out a nice sigh with your exhale.

Maybe it takes you a bit of time to get used to these fractured pieces being back with you.

It may have become normal to live without them so give yourself some time and space to honor their return and to feel how it feels to be whole again.

Remember there's no shame in the fracture,

It's been part of your journey.

So we can look back and love that about ourselves too.

And find gratitude that we have the courage right now to invite wholeness again.

As you're ready,

Take a moment to give yourself gratitude,

To acknowledge your courage and to open your heart to the next leg of this journey in wholeness.
