Welcome Beloved,
You've given so much today,
This moment is yours now.
Your day may have begun with a series of giving that continued at home,
At work,
On the go.
But you do not have to be anyone else now,
Just be.
Exhale the day,
Lay it all down.
You are safe here,
You've carried the world on your shoulders today.
Now allow it to carry you.
In these next few moments,
You are not here to perform,
You are here to receive.
Welcome to this rest and affirmation meditation.
Take a moment to get comfortable.
You can lie on your back,
Sit with your back supported or in any position that makes you most comfortable.
This is your time to do it your way.
I will give you a few moments to get comfortable.
And now I invite you to a deep,
Relaxing breath through my guidance.
Take a deep inhale allowing the belly and ribcage to fill with air,
Hold it for a few seconds and when you release,
You're going to allow the sound of the breath to leave through your teeth like an ocean.
I will demonstrate.
Deep inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold it and exhale.
And on this last inhale and exhale,
Allow your belly to sink towards your back as you blow all of the air out and deep inhale,
Hold it and release.
Allow your breathing to return to normal and just notice how much more relaxed you already are.
And now bring your awareness to your body,
Sense the weight of your body against the surface that you are on and just allow it to hold you.
I know sometimes it seems very strange to be still and silent and just allow ourselves to be held but in this moment,
You are doing an amazing job.
And now bring your awareness to any places in your body that may be speaking to you and telling you where you've been holding tension all day.
Just notice,
No need to switch,
No need to move,
No need to try to correct,
Just notice.
And then give those places your mental and emotional permission to release the tension that no longer serves you.
Say to yourself,
The version of me that is tired deserves tenderness.
The one that has forgotten herself still belongs to herself.
Repeating after me again,
Before the lists,
Before the noise,
I was and that woman still lives in me.
And now let's do a progressive relaxation,
Starting by placing our awareness at our feet.
Allow the toes to relax,
The feet,
The ankles relaxed,
Allow the calves,
The shins,
The knee,
The knees relaxed,
Allow the backs of the thighs,
The front of the thighs,
Both thighs to relax,
The pelvis,
The hip bone,
Your sacred womb relaxed and take a deep inhale and release from your center,
Allow it to relax,
Your lower back,
Your mid back,
Your shoulder blades,
Your chest,
All fully relaxed,
Bring your attention to your neck,
The back of your neck,
The throat,
Fully relaxed.
And as we relax and place our awareness on our throat,
Where we speak our truth,
Where our yeses and commitments are made into form,
Repeat after me,
There is nothing selfish about silence,
My stillness is sacred,
I lay down what I cannot name,
I let my soul exhale and bring the awareness to the back of the head,
The airs,
The eye sockets,
Behind the eyeballs,
The eyes,
All fully relaxed and allow the forehead to completely relax,
Sensing the cool breath on your inhale and the soft warmth of your exhale,
Allow your eyes to be fully relaxed,
Your mouth,
Allow your tongue to be fully relaxed,
Your gums,
Your teeth,
All completely relaxed.
Give yourself gratitude for this moment and as you are in a deep sense of relaxation,
Allow these affirmations to permeate your mind and restore your body and your heart,
You can repeat them after me or you can just allow yourself to soak them up,
You are in control of this experience.
I am whole even without external obligation,
I am not the sum of what I do,
I am the stillness that breathes beneath it all,
I release the weight of being everything,
I return to the grace of simply being,
I am a sacred space,
I deserve rest and restoration,
Even the moon pauses and phases,
So may I,
Rest is my inheritance,
I am a field of flowers that blooms effortlessly,
I was not made to burn but to bloom,
I choose rest,
In the quiet I remember,
I am sacred not scheduled,
My quiet breath is a rebellion,
Each inhale reclaims my peace,
My identity,
My wholeness,
I create time for myself and that is non-negotiable.
Beloved,
Notice the power of restoration,
Notice the way that you feel,
Notice the joy,
Notice the peace,
All of this fullness,
This wholeness that is returned to you is yours,
Guarded with your heart,
Know that the world may demand but you decide,
You are the keeper of your yes,
The guardian of your peace,
As we bring the meditation to a close,
I send you much warmth and love and know that you can always return to this recording whenever you need it.
