The heart is the seat of humanity.

It is where we make the distinction between body and spirit.

It is the space from which we experience joy and happiness,

Love,

Empathy,

Compassion,

And warmth.

And sometimes it also suffers from harsh words,

Anger,

Neglect,

Abuse,

Loneliness,

And emotional pain.

It is powerful enough to rule our head and yet soft enough to be ruled by it as well.

For this reason,

We must regularly cleanse and mend our heart,

Giving it the opportunity to purge toxic buildup and negative energies,

And then nurture it with care,

Refill it with forgiveness,

Compassion,

And healing.

And because our heart is resilient and strong and divine,

With this care,

It will be able to operate in its fullness again.

In today's mindful meditation,

We seek to connect to the heart,

Our sacred space,

Put our ears to our soul,

And listen to it.

Our intention is to purge that space and give it love and offerings of reverence.

Before we begin,

Ensure that you are in a safe space,

Somewhere that you can be free to let your guard down and purge your heart without interruption or distractions.

Make sure that you are comfortable.

I recommend sitting in lotus position,

Spine straight,

Supporting your back comfortably to allow for an easy flow of purging your energy through your chakras to release whatever comes up.

However,

If you are more comfortable lying down or in a fetal position,

Honor your body,

Honor your emotions,

And do what feels right for you.

If you are in lotus position,

Let us begin with our hands on our knees,

Our thighs,

Palms facing down,

And simply start to notice our breath,

Not changing or altering it,

Just noticing and letting it be.

Is it shallow?

Is it deep?

Allow it to be what it is and bring your whole awareness to your breath.

Now notice exactly where the breath is rising and falling in your body.

Find that focal point of the breath rising and falling and bring your whole awareness to that physical point on your body.

Focus on the inhale and allow it to speak to you.

What message is your heart communicating to your entire being through each breath you're taking right now?

Ask it,

What are you feeling?

Let one clear emotion begin to arise at a time.

Let it come through without hesitation and label it,

If you can,

With one word,

Anger,

Frustration,

Abandoned,

Betrayed,

Foolish.

Whatever it is,

Feel the fullness of it on the inhale,

Diving as deep down into your center as you can go.

Embracing it with your breath and then holding for a count of one or two.

And on the exhale,

Draw it up and out of your body in an audible exhale.

Allow the feeling to be released.

Ask yourself,

What am I feeling?

What is it that I am feeling?

Concentrate on that focal point of emotion and on the inhale,

Dive as deep down into your center as you can to embrace the fullness of that emotion.

Wrap it with your breath,

Inhale,

Draw it up into your chest and audible exhale.

Allow it to be released,

Feeling your shoulders drop away from your ears,

Feeling any physical tension in your body begin to melt away from your center,

Your navel,

Your shoulders,

Your fingers,

Your legs.

And again,

Bringing your full awareness to the center of your body where your breath is rising and falling.

Tuning in to your body,

Bringing your body into the center of your body where your breath is rising and falling.

Tuning into the wisdom of the breath,

Ask it again,

What am I feeling?

Allow it to come up,

Beloved.

Now that we have cleared space in our heart,

Allow whatever you are feeling to arise without shame,

Without any resistance,

Allow yourself to feel.

And as that emotion spreads in your awareness and grows,

On the next inhale,

Allow your breath to embrace your entire being wherever that emotion is felt.

And wrap it with warmth and wisdom and then hold it for a count of one or two.

Deep inhale,

Diving down into the wisdom of your body,

Enveloping all centers that are feeling the emotion,

Embrace it,

Hold it,

Release.

To the universe,

Knowing that the universe can always hold,

Transmute,

Transform,

Understand.

And then,

Let it come up,

Let it come up,

Let it come up,

Let it come up,

Let it come up.

And again,

Let us return to the wisdom center of our being,

The process that moves without our thinking,

Without our permission,

Our breath.

Tuning into wherever the point is on your body that that breath is rising and falling.

And ask it,

And ask it,

What do you need?

And just allow yourself to listen.

Allow yourself to honor whatever your soul reveals to you.

Knowing that wisdom and love is speaking.

Placing your hand at your heart,

Deep inhale as if you are breathing.

Placing your hand at your heart,

Deep inhale as if you are breathing in white light.

Let's breathe in white light for a count of five,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Feeling full with white light in your navel center,

Your chest,

Your head.

Holding an exhale,

Allowing it to consume your entire being with white light.

And ask yourself,

What do you need right now?

Honor whatever comes up and with your hand on your heart,

Feel the energy of that need being manifested into a ball of white light.

And now inhale the energy of that white light.

Consume it with your entire being,

Fill your diaphragm,

Fill your chest.

Hold it,

Allow it to fill you from your crown to your feet.

And then exhale,

Release.

As your prayer and intention to the universe is transmuted,

Transformed and made manifest.

And so it is.

Namaste.
