My name is Alicia and this meditation is meant to help you start your day with a sense of clarity and groundedness.
We'll begin by taking a position that feels comfortable to our bodies as we awake from last night's rest.
That might be sitting up to bring some alertness to the body or continuing to lie down if that feels better.
Simply honoring whatever your body needs in this moment.
Slowly close your eyes and allow your mind and body to start centering into this present moment.
If it feels like the thoughts of the to do list or what is coming upon your day is on your mind,
Simply acknowledge it and invite your awareness back to your breath.
And to begin this practice,
We'll use our breath to clear out any stagnant energy,
Any sensations that don't feel helpful,
Or anything that might be lingering from last night's sleep.
And so to do that,
I invite you to have a few rounds here of inhaling and exhaling.
And on the inhale,
We'll fill our bodies with that beautiful,
Powerful breath,
That life force.
And as you exhale,
I want you to think about directing that exhale to wherever that stagnation is in your body.
And so let's begin now,
Taking a big deep breath in,
Filling your belly expand as your lungs fill with air.
And as you exhale again,
Breathing into wherever that stagnation is,
And allowing it to exit your body with that powerful breath.
Take another deep breath in from the belly.
And as you exhale,
Releasing anything that is no longer serving you.
And take another deep breath in.
And again,
Exhaling into any places in your body,
Releasing whatever is not going to be suitable for you as you move into your day.
And to ensure that we've released anything that doesn't feel good to us in this moment,
I encourage you to do a body scan,
As sometimes things can linger in parts of our bodies that we may not normally focus on.
And so to do that,
Bring your attention to the crown of your head and start to work your way down your body.
So moving your attention down your face,
Noticing any tension that might be held in your eyes or your jaw,
Maybe even your ears or the back of your head.
Working your way down your throat and your neck,
Across your chest and shoulders,
Down your upper and lower arms,
Down your hands and out through your fingertips,
Down your belly and back,
Down your pelvis and upper legs,
Down your lower legs and your feet and out through your toes.
And just reflecting on what you noticed as you paid particular attention to each part of your body during that scan.
And if it feels like you picked up on anything that is in there that needs to be released,
Go ahead and release it with that breath work that we tried earlier.
So again,
Taking another deep breath in,
Feeling the belly expand and allowing that exhale to release whatever it is that's being stored in your body that is not serving you.
And so now that we've taken the time to encourage spaciousness,
Groundedness,
And openness by releasing those things,
I want you to spend a few moments here and just notice what it's like to fill your body in this way.
And oftentimes when we take the time to do this,
It allows us to have more clarity as we're not feeling clouded or fuzzy and space is not being taken up by those things that again are no longer serving us.
So with this newfound sense of clarity as you move into this day,
I want you to think about what your intention is that you would really like to keep in mind as you head into this day.
And maybe a few words of how you would like to fill or how you would like to interact with people throughout the day.
Just getting clear on whatever your intuition is really pulling you towards as far as that intuition goes.
And you could even say it out loud quietly if that feels helpful for you,
Or maybe just say it in your mind to solidify it in this moment for you.
And now I want you to spend a few moments here imagining that you are moving throughout this day ahead of you with that intention in mind as the best version of yourself.
And spend some moments here really imagining each part of your day to allow that to fill like it has already occurred.
Moving into your morning,
Your afternoon and evening.
And looking back on your day and seeing what it was like to move about your day knowing that you carried out that intention.
And we'll spend a few moments here in silence so you can allow yourself to do that now.
Beautiful.
And now I encourage you to either in your mind or out loud again,
Say your intention one last time to solidify and seal in this meditative practice.
And expressing some gratitude towards yourself for taking this time to start your day in this way.
It's a beautiful thing when we can give ourselves this space and allow the ability for us to get clear and manifest what is best for us in these moments can have a profound effect,
Not just on the day ahead of us,
But our life in general.
And to close for today,
We'll take one final deep breath in.
Slowly exhaling through the mouth.
Wiggling your fingers and toes and slowly opening your eyes.
Thank you for meditating with me and I hope you have a beautiful day ahead of you.
