My name is Alicia,
And this meditation is meant to assist you in protecting your energetic field and grounding yourself into the present moment.
For those of us that tend to be empaths,
Highly sensitive,
Or just feel very overwhelmed in the presence of others and feel like you take a lot of other stuff on to yourself,
It's really crucial to learn how to protect your own energetic field and having that energetic boundary so we can be compassionate and present with those around us,
But not feeling like we're taking on everything that those around us are carrying.
So to begin this meditation,
Being able to make contact with the floor or the ground beneath you is a great option,
So you can either sit or lay down on the floor,
Or maybe sitting in a chair with your feet planted firmly on the floor,
Just so you can have some type of contact with the ground beneath you.
Slowly allow your eyes to close,
Or your gaze to begin casting downwards,
And begin turning your attention to your breath,
Taking some nice slow inhales and exhalations for the next few moments to allow your body and mind to orient to the present moment,
Maybe deepening the quality of the inhales and exhalations as you become more and more focused on your breath in the present moment.
And now bringing your attention to whatever part of your body is making contact with the ground beneath you,
Or you could even bring your attention to your root chakra,
That part of your body at the base of your tailbone.
This is where our sense of groundedness comes from in our energetic space.
And I want you to imagine that from that root chakra place,
Or the part of your body that is making contact with the ground beneath you,
There is a cord that has formed from that part of your body all the way down to the earth beneath you,
To where the roots of the trees and plants are,
Wherever it is that allows you to feel the most grounded and the most connected to that deep internal part of the earth beneath you,
Noticing how strong and sturdy that cord feels that connects you and your body to the earth beneath you.
It might be a certain color,
Have a certain texture or quality to it,
Simply noticing what it feels like to have this sense of connection and groundedness within you,
Being with this sense of groundedness and this connection for a few more moments here now.
Now that we've grounded ourselves into the earth,
Bringing your attention to the very top of your head,
To the crown of your head,
Where we're able to receive source,
Healing energy,
White light,
Whatever you want to call it in this moment,
Or feels healing from you.
And so imagining that from that very tip,
Crown of your head,
Your attention is traveling upwards,
All the way up into the atmosphere,
All the way up until you feel like you've reached that place where that healing source energy comes from.
And noticing how it begins to come down on you,
Almost like a gentle shower or a warm blanket of white light,
Or whatever you envision that healing energy from above to be in this moment.
And taking some time here to feel like that healing energy from above is slowly making its way down from the very tip of your head,
Covering every centimeter of your being until you've reached the very tip of your toes.
And just really allow yourself to notice what it feels like to be completely covered in this healing,
Energetic feeling from this source that provides ultimate unconditional love and support,
Feeling the comfort and the warmth of that that might be present in your being in this moment,
And really embracing that.
So now that we've gotten to a place of being grounded within the earth beneath us,
And filling the love and support from source above us,
I want you to now imagine sensing into the energetic field around all sides of your being.
It might feel very wide,
It might feel more closer to you,
There's no right or wrong feeling.
It simply is noticing what your particular energetic field feels like around you,
And allowing that energetic field to become illuminated by a beautiful gold protective light,
Really allowing that energetic field to become protected with this light,
To where you no longer have to take on any negativity or anything around you that doesn't serve you.
This energetic field allows you to decide what enters,
And only what serves you.
Just taking a few moments here to really fill into the safety and the protective nature of that gold energetic field,
And to fully allow this practice to seal,
Uttering some sort of mantra either in your mind or out loud that really symbolizes for you this sense of protection that you have created for yourself.
It might be the words,
I am protected,
I am grounded,
I am safe,
Whatever mantra feels most resonant for you in this moment,
And knowing that at any time throughout the rest of your day,
You can say that mantra or think about it,
And your body and mind will come back to this safe,
Grounded,
Protected space.
And now taking one more deep inhale through the nose,
And slowly exhaling out through the mouth,
Bringing some movement into your fingers and toes,
Bringing your attention back into your physical being,
And slowly opening your eyes whenever you're ready.
Taking a few moments here to notice any shifts or any sensations that may be present in your being in this moment,
And taking a few moments to express gratitude to yourself for giving this time to yourself.
