Hi everyone,

Daisy here from Spiritual Mixtape.

Just like we embrace the summer solstice with breathwork,

It's now time to welcome the winter solstice.

Winter is a time for quiet and calm,

A period for deep preparation,

Nurturing our growth and transformation.

This breathwork session will help you connect with your breath,

Embrace your stillness and uncover the magic and potential within.

Remember how in summer our breaths were full of energy,

Mirroring the vibrancy of the sun?

This winter our approach shifts,

We'll breathe slowly and deeply,

Transitioning from the bustling energy of December into a serene inner state.

It's a time to let go,

To release.

What no longer serves you returns to the earth,

Freeing ourselves to nurture what we truly wish to grow and what we want to flourish within.

In this breathwork practice you will utilise what is called a recovery breath.

It is two inhales for every exhale,

Breathing all the way into the belly and then taking a second inhale into the chest.

The exhale falls out easily after.

Each part of the breath is connected,

No holding your breath.

It will feel like this.

Inhale,

Inhale and an exhale.

This is an active practice so it's common for either emotions or physical symptoms to arise like tingling in the hands.

You can shake out the tingles and let the emotions pass and then drop back in when you are ready.

If you want to practice with your normal breath pattern,

Please go ahead.

This practice is best done lying down with your eyes closed.

Alternatively sit comfortably,

Roll your shoulders back,

Soften your gaze.

Let's breathe in the stillness of winter and embrace the quiet power it holds.

Let's find our breath.

When you feel that first inhale into the belly,

That second inhale into the chest,

Exhale let the breath go,

Inhale again,

Inhale again,

Exhale it out,

Breathe in and in,

Let the breath go,

Breathe in,

Breathe in,

Release the breath,

Breathe in,

Breathe in again,

Let go,

Breathe in,

In again,

Release the breath,

Keep breathing just like that,

You're doing so well.

Your breath,

It runs deep like oceans,

All the way to your core,

Your breath runs to your stillness,

Let your breath show you where you need to go.

If you need to find your breath,

If you need to shake out any tingles,

There's no wrong way to do this.

Drop back in,

Find that inhale to the belly,

Into the chest,

Release the breath,

Breathing in,

Breathing in again and letting go,

Breathing in and again and release the breath,

Breathe in,

Breathe in and let go.

Can you let your leaves fall because it takes more energy to hold on to the old.

When your leaves hit the soil,

They will renew you.

What are you holding that you need to leave behind?

Keep breathing,

Your leaves will grow again,

All you need is to believe in yourself,

You will renew,

Your soil will be rich again,

You're doing amazingly.

Keep finding your breath,

Breathe in,

Breathe in again and let the breath go,

Breathe in,

Breathe in again,

Release the breath.

When you feel the summer sun on your skin,

Where will you be,

Who will you be with,

What are you doing?

When you reach full bloom,

What will you look like?

Keep breathing,

We're almost through this breath work,

As you find those double inhales,

Let all of the magic of nature fill your exhales,

Line your inhales,

Find your stillness.

You are stardust,

You are moonshine,

Let's take a last few breaths together,

Breathing in,

In again,

Release the breath,

Breathe in and in and let go.

You are through to the meditation,

You can release that double inhale,

Returning to your regular rhythm,

An inhale,

An exhale and an inhale again.

Feel the oceans that have fed you,

See the forests you have been part of,

Meet the mountains that bow down to meet you,

The solstice,

Remind yourself that in your stillness there is magic,

In your stillness there is limitless potential,

You are winter,

You are spring,

You are summer and you are fall,

You are stardust and you are moonshine,

There is only one of you,

There will only ever be one of you,

Yet you are everything,

All at once,

Unique yet connected.

Feel the oceans that have fed you,

See the forests that you are part of,

Meet the mountains that bow down to meet you.

Thank you for breathing with me today,

I am Daisy,

This is Spiritual Mixtape and you have been incredible.
