Hello friends,
This is Mary Lisa with Spirit Collective.
Today we're going to be doing a meditation designed to help you connect to younger aspects of yourself so that you may integrate them back into your being,
Allowing you to feel forgiveness and love for yourself.
In a comfortable and quiet spot,
Lying down or sitting up,
It may be helpful to have a straight spine sitting or lying,
Which will allow the energy to freely flow within your body.
Let's set an intention before beginning to have compassion for ourselves throughout this whole meditation.
We're going to breathe compassion through our being for three deep breaths.
Go ahead and spend some time on your own to breathe the compassion.
Now in our mind's eye,
We're going to go to the forest,
A safe forest where our angels and spirit animals are with us.
Whatever makes you feel comfortable,
Invite them into your sacred space.
It is a very sunny day in the forest.
You feel the sun on your face and you feel it warm your body from the inside out.
There is a light breeze.
You feel it wrap around your skin.
The warm sun rays and the gentle breeze comfort you.
You look up and you see a bright blue sky,
Some wispy clouds.
The tops of the trees,
You can hear the breeze moving through them and the leaves.
You hear the swaying of the trees and the waving of the meadow grass in which you are.
You are sitting comfortably on a blanket in this meadowed forest.
You might even be wrapped in a cozy blanket,
Listening to the breeze and the birds.
You feel safe and serene.
Your animals and angels and whoever you called forth or around you now,
Take some time to experience their presence,
Their love and support that they are offering you in this time.
Now you are in a balanced state.
You will be calling forth a very young version of yourself.
Imagine yourself around the age of four or five.
You call this part of yourself forth into the safe scene with you.
You invite them to come cuddle with you on this comfy blanket in which you sit.
This younger version of you,
What do they look like?
Try holding on to younger you.
Hold their hand,
Touch their face,
Sit them in your lap.
Feel their presence and experience their energy that they are bringing with them.
Can you recall what you were experiencing at this age?
Feel younger you's emotions.
Listen to what they share with you.
Now you are going to give a younger you what you need.
Does this version of yourself need comfort at that age?
Do they need words of affirmation?
How about love or a simple cuddle?
Do they need to feel safe and secure with you?
Give it to this younger version of yourself now.
This younger version of yourself looks up to you because they see who you are now and understand that you are strong.
In this moment you realize that this young version of yourself is always with you,
Influencing your emotions and decisions whether you realize it or not in that moment.
So you welcome this younger version of yourself back into your body,
Back into your heart and promise to keep it safe and give it all the love that you now have to offer.
And now you ground yourself back down on your comfy blanket in the meadowed forest with the sunshine and the warm breeze as well as your spirits and guides around you still there.
Now you are going to welcome another part of you into the safe scene.
Think of a time in your life when you were faced with struggles,
A part of yourself whom maybe you still have judgments towards,
A part of yourself you feel made some bad decisions.
Welcome this version of yourself onto the blanket with you,
See them,
Feel their presence,
Feel their energy and emotions that they bring with them.
What do they look like?
What are their feelings and the things that they were going through?
Try to understand what they might need from you in this moment.
Do they need love or a cuddle or some emotional support?
Do they need to hear that it gets better or that you are there to protect them?
In this moment you begin to realize this younger version of yourself did the very best that they could do at the time.
You understand you are stronger now and can give them the love and support that they did not receive at that point in their life.
With this you begin to forgive yourself.
You notice a black cloud of energy sinking off of your shoulders down into the meadow grass.
You hold your younger self extending forgiveness and understanding.
This is all you ever wanted.
You tell your younger self that you are always here to protect and love and you welcome this part of yourself back into your heart.
Hand over your heart.
You know the path to love begins with the path to self-love and self-forgiveness.
In the meadow you sit with your angels and your spirit guides proud of the work that you have done today to extend love to the parts of yourselves that needed it the most.
You come back into your body in this moment in your meditation.
One hand on your heart,
One hand on your stomach.
Remember your intention that you set in the beginning to offer yourself compassion.
You feel it now.
You breathe in deep and slow.
Audible exhale.
Namaste.
