Transcript

Welcome to a three minute acceptance of bodily sensations meditation.

And then we will begin with the tops of our heads.

Slowly making our way down our face.

Our necks.

Torso.

Arms.

Back.

Really feeling into all of the sensations as they are without trying to change anything.

Sensing the hips.

Down your legs and your knees.

The calves and your feet.

And just for the next few minutes,

Accept the present moment as it is.

This is a difficult thing to do sometimes,

But that's why we're engaging in this practice.

So whatever sensations arise within your body,

Just accept that they are there.

Accept that they are present.

And make peace with it.

First we have to become aware of what is happening.

Then we can accept what is happening.

And only then do we have the best opportunity to influence what is happening.

But before we are aware and can accept what's happening,

We have no idea,

No adequate means to deal with the problem at hand.

Because either we don't know there is a problem or do not know how to accept the fact that there is a problem.

And if you can't accept that there is a problem,

Then you can't accept help and you can't do anything about it.

So just gently accept and understand that this is a practice.

So you might not have done a perfect job this time,

But that's okay.

We can come back later,

Come back in a few days,

And just try again.

Accept the fact that you won't be perfect.

Accept the fact that perfection is actually impossible.

And resolve to work to improve your ability to accept life as is.

Thank you.

We'll see you on the next meditation.
