When we are grounded in gratitude,

The quality of our awareness changes.

Gratitude is like a lens that highlights everything we love and value and it helps us perceive ourselves and our world as infinite possibility.

This is a practice where the simple becomes sacred,

Where the everyday things are magic.

My name is Vendela.

I will be guiding you through this morning meditation that will help you start your day just right,

Whatever that means for you.

Start by making yourself as comfortable as you can.

You can do this meditation sitting up or laying down.

Gently close your eyes and take a deep,

Nourishing breath in through your nose.

Slowly exhale through your mouth to relax your whole body.

Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly.

Start by bringing awareness to any sounds around you.

Listen to the sounds far away and any sounds closer to you.

Just connecting with your breath,

Inviting in a sense of gratitude for the space that you are in.

Now bringing your attention to your physical body.

Gently notice if you are holding any tension or resistance in your body this morning.

And also notice where you are feeling soft and open.

Enjoy a deep inhale,

Breathing into those spaces and hold.

Sending waves of gratitude for all that your body does for you.

Enjoy a full breath out to release,

Allowing the body to be heavy.

Just listening to the stillness of this moment,

Allowing yourself to be present in your own company.

Now bringing your awareness to your heart.

Connecting with your essence,

Your warmth,

Your creativity,

Your light.

And now think of something that you appreciate about yourself.

Your growth.

Something that makes you,

You.

Breathing in,

I am grateful.

Breathing out,

I am blissful.

In grateful,

Out blissful.

Now let your intuition guide you as you contemplate the first thing that arises when you ask yourself,

How would I like to be today?

Waking up this morning,

I smile.

Today is a brand new day.

As human beings we are very busy and often focus on the doing,

On the next thing.

The achieving,

The accomplishing.

By starting your day asking yourself how you want to be today is a beautiful way to set an intention for how you want to carry yourself throughout the day.

How you want to feel while doing all of the things.

Now waking up this morning,

I smile.

Today is a brand new day.

May this intention carry me throughout this day in everything that I do.

May gratitude serve as the lens from which I view my day.

May I see the great things,

The good things,

The lessons and the growth.

May today bring me ease and wisdom on my way.

Now slowly bring your palms together at your heart center.

Gently open the eyes as we begin our day by repeating the holiest of mantras.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Have a beautiful day.
